A contributor to The New American since 2009, Rebecca Terrell joined the staff as a senior editor in 2022 with a focus on health, energy and environmental issues.

Her background includes experience in both public and private sectors as well as education and healthcare. She served as a legislative aide on international affairs to U.S. Congressman Ron Paul (R-Tex.) and authored his American Sovereignty Restoration Act to withdraw United States membership in the United Nations.

Rebecca is a licensed practical nurse and holds both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in marketing. She is an associate member of Scientists for Accurate Radiation Information, having been invited to membership for her reporting on nuclear energy. She is proud to be labeled by the F.B.I. as a “radical traditionalist” Catholic – so radical, in fact, that she serves as her church organist. Her personal interests include music, genealogy research and history.
