The tragic events that occurred on October 7th in Israel, along with the subsequent bombings in Gaza, were likely heavily influenced and orchestrated by actors hidden from the public eye. As emotions run high during the conflict between Israel and Hamas, it’s dangerous and irresponsible to oversimplify complex events and processes and call for or engage in further escalation, as this could lead to disastrous outcomes, believes analyst and author Alex Krainer.

In his interview with The New American, Mr. Krainer emphasizes crucial points for understanding the situation.

First, he distinguishes between Islamist terrorists and ordinary Muslims and warns against falling for Islamophobic propaganda in the West. He also points to how Western intelligence agencies, particularly those of the United Kingdom and the United States, have been involved in radicalizing and weaponizing Islamists to further their geopolitical goals. This is key to understanding Hamas and its actions. According to Mr. Krainer, Hamas, the group governing Gaza, was created by Israel and funded by Western intelligence and Qatar for years to undermine the two-state solution and the establishment of a Palestinian state. Qatar, a major donor to Hamas, has close ties with the British establishment, and the money flow, as stressed by Mr. Krainer, solidifies the power hierarchy. Pursuit of any political cause requires approval from the ultimate bosses on the London-Wall Street/Washington axis.

Secondly, Mr. Krainer points out that Israel’s establishment is not entirely independent, as Western allies hold significant leverage over it. He argues that the Netanyahu government had strong incentives for the escalated conflict, and added that “responsibility for what happened [on October 7th] probably reaches several layers of hierarchy above the visible actors.”

Mr. Krainer also discusses the broader geopolitical interests of the United States in restoring her hegemony in the Middle East, the Biden administration’s attempts to rally the Arab world behind Israel, the potential for World War III, and the risk of terrorist attacks on U.S. soil.
