Yes, JBS Works!
A good story often ends well, and even though our small-town story is still being written, the first few chapters are very compelling. Why? Because the spirit of John Birch, Robert Welch, and Larry McDonald is playing out in real time.
I am the elected mayor of Newberry, Florida, a city of 9,000 people spread out across 63 square miles. Founded in 1895, it is one of the largest cities in Florida in terms of land area, and has its roots in agriculture and phosphate mining.
I am also the director of marketing for The John Birch Society. Prior to being elected mayor I was a city commissioner for Newberry, and this is where my story as a JBS member-turned-mayor begins.
