The leftist clown show in the San Francisco District Attorney’s office might soon come to an end. Prosecutors are quitting their jobs because elected D.A. Chesa Boudin won’t prosecute criminals.

And a recall effort to get rid of the pro-criminal leftist has gathered more than enough signatures for an election next year.

Boudin has been trouble for law enforcement since Day 1 of his term. He won’t prosecute criminals, just as he promised, and he openly defies state law. Criminals are running amok.

Prosecutors Quit

The NBC Bay Area affiliate reported yesterday that Brooke Jenkins and Don Du Bain are the latest of 51 lawyers in Boudon’s office who have quit or been fired since he took office.

“Chesa has a radical approach that involves not charging crime in the first place and simply releasing individuals with no rehabilitation and putting them in positions where they are simply more likely to re-offend,” Jenkins told the affiliate:

“Being an African-American and Latino woman, I would wholeheartedly agree that the criminal justice system needs a lot of work, but when you are a district attorney, your job is to have balance.”

“He basically disregards the laws that he doesn’t like, and he disregards the court decisions that he doesn’t like to impose his own version of what he believes is just — and that’s not the job of the district attorney” du Bain said.

“The office was headed in such the wrong direction that the best thing I could do was to join the effort to recall Chesa Boudin as district attorney.”

The angry lawyers cited multiple cases in which Boudin sided with criminals, one of which, as The New American reported at the time, ended in the death of two people:

In one case, a man charged with robbery, who had eight prior felony convictions, was released early by the district attorney. He was then arrested four more times for other crimes, but the district attorney’s office never charged him. Then, nine months after he was set free, he hit and killed two women while driving a stolen car, drunk.

“The fact that killers may go free, just doesn’t sit very well with me,” Jenkins told the station.

Boudin also ordered du Bain to break the law:

Du Bain said Boudin ordered him to request a more lenient sentence for a man who was convicted of shooting his girlfriend in the stomach. The request, du Bain argues, would have been a violation of state statutes, which govern criminal sentences. As a result, du Bain said he withdrew from the case.

“I’ve done 136 jury trials in my career — never, never withdrawn from a case before,” he said. “I’ve seen decisions made in this office in the last year plus, since Chesa took over, that shocked my conscience — and I’ve been a prosecutor for 30 years.”…

In yet another case, Jenkins said a man convicted of brutally killing his mother was able to avoid jail time after the district attorney agreed to let him plead insanity without requiring he provide evidence of his mental state in court….

“Public safety is not his focus. That is not his goal,” said Jenkins, adding, “Chesa has a radical approach that involves not charging crime in the first place and simply releasing individuals with no rehabilitation and putting them in positions where they are simply more likely to re-offend.”

Crime is out of control in the city, the station reported. Shooting deaths are up 47 percent this year, while non-fatal gun violence have doubled. Burglaries are through the roof. Carjacking has jumped 27 percent and as high as 150 percent in some precincts. Daylight smash-and-grab robberies are out of control.

Recall Effort

No wonder San Franciscans want to get rid of the pro-criminal prosecutor.

The effort has gathered 83,000 signatures, 32,000 more than needed to give voters the chance to recall the left-wing extremist.

Organizers submitted the signatures to election officials before the deadline; officials have 30 days to validate them.

If voters recall Boudin in next year’s election, Mayor London Breed, a leftist crackpot herself, will appoint his successor.

Boudin’s affection for criminals, particularly murderers, is second nature. His parents are convicted terrorist murderers David Gilbert and Kathy Boudin, and Chesa Boudin’s namesake is communist cop killer Joanne Chesimard

Weather Underground bombers Bill Ayers and his wife, Bernardine Dohnn, raised Boudin because his parents were in prison.
