God, Family, Country | Gender Reveal: The Pink Revolution

Freshmen at the University of Southern California (USC) can waste their time and tuition on an elective called “Designing Things for Kids.”

One fact students learn in the class is that, unlike today, pink was once closely associated with boys, while girls owned blue.

“Pink was strong. It was understood as a forceful, assertive color,” professor Amy Ogata explained to website USC Today. “Blue, on the other hand, was considered to be flattering, a color of youthful beauty.”
