DHS: Biden “Migrants” Released at Border Involved in Murder, Assault
Former President Joe Biden and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas can put two more notches in their belts.
Another two of the “migrants” they released at the border to run wild and free were involved, cops allege, in two more crimes — one of them murder, the other aggravated assault. “Migrant” is leftist code for illegal alien.
The murder suspect is Akbor Miah, a Bangladeshi charged with murdering his sister-in-law. The other cultural enricher has the more customary Hispanic name of Diego Moreno-Espinoza. That Mexican illegal, police say, was fooling around with a handgun and shot a little girl.
But these two are just the latest in the long conga line of illegals who danced into the country with Biden’s eager permission.
Victim No. 1
Miah’s victim was Monica Islam, who was found dead of a gunshot wound in Eustis, Florida.
“She had been killed sometime after leaving a convenience store in Eustis where she worked with her brother-in-law, Akbor Miah, a criminal illegal alien from Bangladesh who is using the alias Shahidul Islam,” the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) reported:
Detectives later found evidence in Miah’s car, including [Monica’s] DNA and a bullet.
Miah fled to New York, but was ultimately arrested by U.S. Marshals on May 6. He has been extradited to Florida and charged with first-degree murder. [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] lodged a detainer with the Lake County Jail requesting he be turned over to ICE after he faces justice.
Barack Obama’s administration “allowed” the murder suspect into the country in 2016, DHS said. Immigration and Customs Enforcement arrested him in February 2018. An immigration judge handed him a final order of deportation that November, showing yet again that immigration orders are not promptly enforced.
Donald Trump’s first administration booted him in January 2019, but the mulish Bangladeshi jumped the border again. Immigration officials, on the standing orders of Biden and Mayorkas, freed him in March 2022.
Victim No. 2
The second victim is a 12-year-old girl in Wichita, Kansas. Mexican illegal Diego Moreno-Espinoza, police allege, shot her in the stomach.
On the morning of July 3, Moreno-Espinoza decided to put a handgun back together after taking it apart the night before because he was going to drink,” 12 News in Wichita reported:
He reported to police that after telling someone else to assemble the gun, he placed a magazine into the magazine well.
“Diego initially told [detectives] that he pulled the trigger then said he did not intend to do so, causing the gun to fire,” according to the [criminal] affidavit.
The miscreant Mexican claimed he didn’t point the gun at anyone when he shot the girl, but “on the way to the hospital, another person in the vehicle reported that Moreno-Espinoza said he did not know the gun was loaded,” the station reported.
Charged with aggravated assault, Moreno-Espinoza jumped the border in Arizona in 2024, DHS reported. Immigration authorities, again under standing orders from Biden and Mayorkas, freed him, no questions asked, to run thither and yon across the heartland.
Aside from the assault and illegal entry, Moreno-Espinoza should also be charged with illegal possession of a firearm.
18 U.S. Code 922 forbids illegals from owning or possessing firearms, and 8 U.S. Code 1227 says that “any alien who at any time after admission” is convicted of possessing a firearm is deportable.
Other Migrant Crimes
Biden’s “migrants” immediately began a crime wave when he began releasing them at the border.
As The New American reported earlier this week, a far-left judge sentenced an Indian illegal freed at the border to less than five years in prison for the vehicular homicide of three Americans. Unable to speak English, he was driving an 18-wheel truck under the influence when he wrecked.
Other people Democrats “care about most” and released at the border include two MS-13 gang members indicted for murdering a 14-year-old boy in Maryland in November, along with these scholars and future astronauts:
- Venezuelans Yosguar Aponte Jimenez, 20; Jesus De Nazareth Bellorin-Guzman, 23; and Jose Luis Trivino-Cruz, 35, are charged in the murder of Santiago Lopez Morales, 48, at a Motel 6 in Garland, Texas, on June 20, 2025;
- Venezuelan Daikerlyn Alejandraa Gonzalez-Gonzalez, 22, rammed her Jet Ski into Air Force Academy cadet Ava Moore on May 25, 2025;
- Venezuelans Franklin Jose Pena Ramos and Johan Jose Rangel Martinez await trial for the murder of Jocelyn Nungaray, 12, on June 16, 2024, in Houston, Texas;
- Venezuelan Jose Ibarra murdered nursing student Laken Riley, 22, on February 22, 2024 in Athens, Georgia;
- Salvadoran Victor Martinez-Hernandez murdered Rachel Morin on August 5, 2023 in Harford County, Maryland; and
- Salvadoran MS-13 terror-gang member Walter Martinez murdered Kayla Hamilton, 20, on July 17, 2022, in Harford County, Maryland.
