Investigation Proves Illegals Voted in Michigan Election. Should the Election Be Voided?

Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed won the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate in Michigan last Tuesday.

Or, did he?

That is, legitimately.

The question is apt because a new investigation has proven something striking: Illegal aliens did in fact vote in that race.

Now a question arises:

Was the vote fraud great enough to have changed the result?

El-Sayed “defeated” Representative Haley Stevens (D-Mich.) by a mere one percent (48.5 percent to 47.5 percent). This amounts to approximately 15,000 to 25,000 votes in a state with 10.13 million residents. In other words, critics may say, the victory was “within the margin of vote fraud.”

This raises another question: If fraud was rampant, should the Michigan primary election be thrown out? Judges have done this before, mind you.

The investigation was conducted by the O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) as an undercover sting. The end product was a secretly-recorded video OMG put together, and it opens with a damning exchange:

Undercover journalist: “Is it okay if I’m, you know, if I’m not a U.S. citizen? It’s okay for me to vote?”

Poll worker: “All I know is you’re registered, so I’m here.”

Undercover journalist: “As long as I’m registered, I can vote, right? Perfect.”

Of course, it’s against the law for noncitizens to vote. The vast majority of Americans back this common-sense prohibition, too.

Unfortunately, certain powers-that-be in our country don’t agree. They apparently benefit from vote fraud, which explains OMG’s findings. As the organization writes:

OMG’s undercover journalists investigated two Michigan registered voters identified as non-U.S. citizens in federal court and DHS [Department of Homeland Security] records. One of them, Afshin Masheli, is identified in federal court records as an Iranian national and non-U.S. citizen. DHS has previously featured Masheli on its publicly released “Worst of the Worst” list, which highlights noncitizens arrested by [Immigration and Customs Enforcement] for serious criminal offenses. According to United States District Court records, Masheli is a registered sex offender.

OMG proved that at Masheli’s assigned polling location, election workers confirmed a voter registration under his name appeared in the poll book and stated that a registered voter listed there could cast a ballot. Our undercover journalist spoke to Afshin Masheli himself and Masheli said he planned to vote later that day.

Our investigation also identified another registered voter, Fazlollah Haritash, whose federal records identify him as a non-U.S. citizen. Public court records and Michigan’s public sex offender registry showing the criminal convictions, and the registry lists him as incarcerated. At the polling location associated with Fazlollah Haritash’s voter registration, an election worker confirmed that a voter registration under his name appeared on Michigan’s voter rolls.

Where There’s Two, There’s More?

The aforementioned aren’t the only such cases we’ve seen, either. For example, The Gateway Pundit reported in May on a Chinese-national student who early-voted in Ann Arbor, Michigan. “His illegal vote counted,” wrote Gateway. “He canceled a vote cast by a U.S. citizen (stole a vote), and in the end, there was no accountability for his criminal actions.”

Of course, apologists will label these anomalies. They claim such cases are so rare that they couldn’t possibly sway elections.

Research says otherwise.

Back in 2014 already, an Old Dominion University study estimated that roughly 6.4 percent of noncitizens voted in 2008’s elections. The figure was 2.2 percent in the 2010 contests. Researchers concluded that the participation level was great enough to have potentially affected close races. This includes changing some Electoral College outcomes and Congress’ composition. (It could’ve helped give the Democrats a 59- to 60-vote effective Senate majority in the 111th Congress.)

The researchers also estimated that the number of noncitizens voting in 2008 could’ve been as high as nearly 2.8 million.

But that was almost a generation ago. So why is this still happening?

Michigan’s Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson — and a multitude of other officials like her — is why.

While appearing before the U.S. House Committee on House Administration with other secretaries of state, she said:

We’re doing everything we can to ensure that noncitizens are not able to vote and that only U.S. citizens vote in our election. And it’s working. There’s no evidence that noncitizens are voting — if they were, it would be easy to prove since voting records are public.

Yes, well, I guess that’s why it has been proven — repeatedly. (Video of Benson’s testimony below.)

Benson later repeated the “no evidence” lie on Fox News — all while bemoaning our “era of misinformation” (video below).

Follow the Money/Power Lust

The above gets at why some say the Michigan Senate primary election should perhaps be invalidated. There are many examples of this happening, too. Quite notable was the May 12, 2020 special election between two Democrats in Paterson, New Jersey. A judge ordered that a new election be held.

Of course, this isn’t likely to happen in the Wolverine State, where illegal electoral predation is rife. For certain, however, the evidence of vote fraud — of various and sundry kinds — is overwhelming. Just consider the following relevant articles:

Given this, why do Democrats steadfastly oppose all efforts to secure our elections (e.g., the SAVE Act)? Well, generally speaking, what kind of people object to the stamping out of a type of crime?

Answer: criminals who benefit by committing it.

And what did the Old Dominion researchers also note?

“Non-citizens favor Democratic candidates…,” they wrote.

And maybe the above is why lawyer and former federal prosecutor Sidney Powell lamented last Wednesday that “Democrats always cheat. It’s mostly the only way they get elected.”

You can decide if this is prejudice or perspicacity.
