God, Family, Country | UFO Disclosures: Fact, Fiction, or Spiritual Deception?
The possibility of extraterrestrial life is moving from the realm of science fiction to the sphere of serious consideration. Why the buzz? In May, President Donald Trump ordered the public release of government files related to aliens and unidentified flying objects (UFOs). Hundreds of formerly classified government documents — eyewitness testimony, photos, and audio and video files dating back decÂades — are now available on the Pentagon’s website, www.war.gov/UFO/.
According to enthusiasts, these documents are just the beginning. In June, government whistleblower David Grusch repeated claims that the federal government has recovered nonhuman “biologics” and technology from crashed UFOs. During a Capitol Hill event hosted by the House Task Force on the Declassification of Federal Secrets, he also said, “During my investigation, I found slush funds to the tune of billions of dollars per annum for these activities,” prompting audit demands from federal lawmakers.
Hollywood Hoopla
Interestingly, the current release of files is playing out as anticipated in The Age of Disclosure, a documentary released 13 months prior to Trump’s data dump. It features U.S. officials and military personnel who claim that the federal government has been aware of alien life since about 1947 (the year of the Central Intelligence Agency’s birth). They said that various governments worldwide have been attempting to reverse-engineer technology and materials extracted from UFO wreckage. Dan Farah, who directed the film, told Variety that the documentary’s title anticipated a (hypothetical) government release of classified information about aliens and UFOs. Was this a lucky guess, or was the timing tactical?
