Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the chief medical advisor to the president, suggested that mandatory masks on airlines should continue into the indefinite future and voiced support for a vaccine requirement on domestic flights.

During an exchange with ABC’s Jonathan Karl, Fauci said, “We want to make sure people keep their masks on. I think the idea of taking masks off, in my mind, is really not something we should even be considering.”

Fauci continued, “I think when you’re dealing with a closed space, even though the filtration is good that you want to go that extra step. When you have people, you know you get a flight from Washington to San Francisco, it’s a well over a five-hour flight.”

The NIAID chief added, “Even though you have a good filtration system, I still believe that masks are a prudent thing to do and we should be doing it.”

Karl responded, “And of course, the airline CEOs were suggesting that — you know, that we may not — may no longer need a mask. I hear you loud and clearly, you disagree with that on an — on the airplane.”

The ABC host was referencing a December 15 U.S. Senate panel, in which Southwest Airlines CEO Gary Kelly said masks “don’t add much, if anything,” to combat the spread of COVID-19 on planes.

While responding to the question, Fauci also indicated that a vaccine mandate for domestic flights could be a way to get more Americans vaccinated.

“A vaccine requirement for a person getting on the plane is just another level of getting people to have a mechanism that would spur them to get vaccinated; namely, you can’t get on a plane unless you’re vaccinated, which is just another one of the ways of getting requirements, whatever that might be.

“So I mean, anything that could get people more vaccinated would be welcome. But with regard to the spread of virus in the country, I mean, I think if you look at wearing a mask and the filtration on planes, things are reasonably safe.”

“When you make vaccination a requirement, that’s another incentive to get more people vaccinated,” Fauci further said on MSNBC’s Morning Joe. “If you want to do that with domestic flights, I think that’s something that seriously should be considered.”

Notably, Fauci did not say that mandated vaccination on domestic air travel would reduce infection, only that it be a mechanism to incentivize further vaccination among the American public.

Government bodies have worked in lockstep with big companies throughout the country to compel vaccination.

New York Mayor Bill De Blasio has announced that the city will implement a “first-in-the-nation” COVID-19 vaccine mandate for all private-sector employees and expand existing city mandates to include children as young as five.

According to the new policy, everyone 12 years of age and older must show proof of receiving two vaccine doses — as opposed to one dose under the prior policy — to attend or be employed by indoor dining, fitness, entertainment, and performance venues as of December 27, unless they received Johnson & Johnson’s single-dose vaccine.

As of December 14, New Yorkers over five must present proof of their first dose of the shot to be allowed to the aforementioned indoor venues.

The restrictive measures implemented by New York City and state have led to pushback from locals.

Of four million federal employees, Anthony Fauci is the highest-paid, with a record salary of $417,608 for 2019 — surpassing even the president’s $400,000 salary. He not only funded groups that collaborated with the Wuhan Institute of Virology (WIV), but he approved his subordinates’ attendance at a conference sponsored by China’s Wuhan lab, which is widely believed to be the source of the novel coronavirus known as COVID-19.

Although the 2016 Conference on Viral Infection and Immune Response, hosted by the science journal Nature, has been scrubbed from the publication’s website, archived versions of the site show that two researchers from NIAID were in attendance.

Among organizers and speakers at the event were researchers from Chinese Communist Party (CCP) entities, such as the current director of the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention and WIV director-general.

Why is Fauci still given a platform when his actions and ties demonstrate he has everything but the well-being of Americans at heart?
