Footage Shows Graham Cackling After Trump Started War. Late Senator Wanted to Attack Lebanon

Newly-released documentary video shows late GOP Senator Lindsey Graham so enthusiastic for more war in the Middle East that even Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had to throw cold water on Graham’s deranged plan.

Graham had suggested pushing President Trump into joining Israel’s attack into Lebanon.

The video also shows Graham nearly lavender with glee that Trump had begun an unconstitutional war against Iran. Trump, Graham said, “loves blowin’ stuff up.” 

So did Graham, who went to meet his maker with war and destruction on his mind. 

“I Nearly Cried”

The Israel First warmonger died on July 11 after he returned from a trip to Ukraine on another of his taxpayer-financed junkets to further entangle the United States, and in that case NATO, in a war they cannot win.

But now, The Wall Street Journal has disclosed, footage from British documentarian Alex Holder provides more proof that Graham might have been a deranged psychopath. The late senator never stopped talking about war, violence, and killing.

One video shows Graham on the phone with Netanyahu.

Graham: Hey Bibi, Lindsey.

Bibi: Hey, Lindsey. How are you?

Graham: I’m just so impressed. Glad to be your friend.

Bibi: I’m glad you are my friend.

Graham told the Israeli prime minister — who has no qualms about waging war — that he, Graham, would visit President Trump at his Doral National Golf Club and “try to get him to join with y’all in Lebanon, to maybe fly some with you. Would you like that?

Bibi: Yeah. I get that. I think you have a point. But I’ve been thinking about the other side…. We’re concentrating right now on Iran. If we tell Hezbollah that we’re going all the way, we threaten them, but if we actually do it, then they have no reason not to go all the way against us. And right now that’s not our interest. We can do it later.

Graham: That’s actually good counsel. I’ll put it out there as an idea. We can always go back to it.

A second video shows the late Palmetto Stater watching Trump on Fox News.

“Look at what we’ve done here,” Graham cackled:

I almost cried. I mean, like, how long have we been pushing this?…

I talked to Trump this morning, he’s jacked. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done. He loves blowin’ stuff up.

Graham allowed that “a lot of people inside didn’t wanna do it, so I had my challenges.” But when Trump “gets into the zone, he listens, he asks good questions, no tweeting,” he said:

He hadn’t tweeted much at all. No drama. He’s been a great wartime president. I said last night that Trump and Bibi are like Roosevelt and Churchill.

As well, the Journal disclosed, “the footage shows the documentary crew regularly traveling with Graham, sitting in the back seat and filming as he takes phone calls from the front seat. Graham let the crew stay in the room for sensitive meetings, and some of the people Graham spoke with by phone told the Journal they didn’t know the calls were being recorded.”

Holder’s documentary will be called Lindsey’s Game, and Graham told Holder’s crew how “cool this was.” Holder will release the film in the “coming months.”

“The crew also filmed Graham as he talked in March with Jake Sullivan, who was national security adviser under President Joe Biden, about the challenges of working with the Trump administration on Middle East negotiations,” the Journal revealed:

​“I can’t do it with Jared, and I can’t do it with Witkoff. They’re just too conflicted. It’s gotta be Rubio,” he said to Sullivan, referring to Trump’s primary envoys in the negotiations, his son-in-law Jared Kushner and his longtime friend Steve Witkoff, and his secretary of state, Marco Rubio. A White House official said Graham, Witkoff and Kushner were close friends. “Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner are excellent dealmakers whose results speak for themselves,” the official said.

A third video shows Graham claiming U.S. forces would have Iran “in a spot where they start losing control of some cities” within a month.

“And what we’re trying to do is get a few cities to fall in the next month,” Graham said:

Get the Arabs more openly involved tomorrow, or by the end of the week. And just have almost irreversible momentum.

Reaction

America First leftist podcaster Glenn Greenwald said the video of Graham’s watching Trump “show what a dark, deranged psychopath and insatiable warmonger he was: cackling over massive death and destruction. He devoted his life to craving wars.”

Over video of Graham claiming cities would fall, Greenwald wrote that “Graham died the way he lived: spewing obvious fairy tales to induce Americans to start a new war by promising them, yet again, it would be quick and easy.”

Graham’s Incessant Warmongering

Graham never stopped calling for war.

On Face The Nation in June, Graham called for Trump to “obliterate” Iran and predicted, wrongly, that the United States would control the Strait of Hormuz. 

In March, he urged an attack on Kharg Island, the center of Iran’s petroleum industry, by U.S. Marines. “We’ve got two Marine Expeditionary Units sailing to this island,” he said:

We did Iwo Jima. We can do this. My money is always on the Marines.

On May 12, 2024, on Meet the Press, hostess Kristen Welker asked why Israel needed “massive bombs that can potentially level an entire block.” 

Graham suggested hitting Iran with a nuclear weapon:

Here’s what I would say about fighting an enemy who wants to kill you and your family. Why did we drop two bombs — nuclear bombs — on Hiroshima and Nagasaki? To end a war that we couldn’t afford to lose. You don’t understand apparently what Israel is facing. They’re facing three groups. Iran, who has received $80 billion in aid. When Trump left office they were exporting 300 barrels of oil a day. Now they’re at 1.3 million a day. They’ve been enriched by [former President Joe] Biden. They’re taking that money to kill all the Jews. So when we were faced with destruction as a nation after Pearl Harbor, fighting the Germans and the Japanese, we decided to end the war by bombing Hiroshima and Nagasaki with nuclear weapons. That was the right decision. Give Israel the bombs they need to end the war they can’t afford to lose and work with them to minimize casualties.

“I just want to say, I feel good about the Republican Party. I feel good about where we’re going as a nation,” Graham told the Republican Jewish Coalition in November:

We’re killing all the right people, and we’re cutting your taxes. [Donald] Trump is my favorite president. We’ve run out of bombs, we didn’t run out of bombs in World War II.… We love Israel.

President Trump and Fox blowhard Sean Hannity spoke at Graham’s memorial service today at the Washington National Cathedral.

The senator’s remains were also at the U.S. Capitol.

Netanyahu and Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky attended.
