Minneapolis Riots Heat Up; Illegals Involved in Beating of ICE Agent Are Biden “Migrants” Released at Border

Last night, rioters in Minneapolis attacked and looted federal vehicles.

Plus, DHS has identified the two goons who helped an illegal alien attempting to escape an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent in the city. All three — who attacked the agent with a shovel and broomstick — are Venezuelan illegals.

The agent defended himself by shooting the illegal he was trying to apprehend when the other two attacked him.

All three were caught and released at the border by the Biden administration, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) told Fox News’ Bill Melugin today.

Meanwhile, far-left Democratic Governor of Minnesota Tim Walz begged the Trump administration to “turn the temperature down” after suggesting that leftist hate-ICE street thugs should continue interfering with ICE as it pursues the criminal illegals that Walz and far-left Democratic Mayor Jacob Frey are protecting.

The Shooting

On X last night, DHS detailed the shooting.

At about 6:50 p.m. Central time, “federal law enforcement officers were conducting a targeted traffic stop in Minneapolis of an illegal alien from Venezuela who was released into the country by Joe Biden in 2022,” DHS reported.

The illegal fled in his car, then smashed into a parked car and attempted to flee on foot. The officer caught him. When the officer attempted to arrest him, the illegal fought the officer and “violently” assaulted him, DHS continued.

The two fought on the ground, whereupon the other two illegal-alien goons rushed out of an apartment and attacked the agent with a shovel and broomstick. The illegal whom the agent was attempting to apprehend got loose attacked the agent with one of the two makeshift weapons.

The agent shot the illegal to defend himself, whereupon the three thugs fled to an apartment and “barricaded themselves inside,” DHS reported.

Frey, of course, ignored all that, and blamed ICE.

“Tonight a man was shot in the leg by an ICE agent on the Northside,” Frey wrote on X Wednesday night: 

No matter what led up to this incident, the situation we are seeing in our city is not sustainable. …

I have seen conduct from ICE that is intolerable. And for anyone taking the bait tonight, stop. It is not helpful. We cannot respond to Donald Trump’s chaos with our own chaos.

Trump answered Frey on Truth Social Thursday morning. If the violence doesn’t stop, Trump warned, he will invoke the Insurrection Act:

If the corrupt politicians of Minnesota don’t obey the law and stop the professional agitators and insurrectionists from attacking the patriots of I.C.E., who are only doing their job, I will institute the INSURRECTION ACT, which many presidents have done before me, and quickly put an end to the travesty that is taking place in that once great state.

The White House reposted the warning on its X feed.

Illegals Identified

Last night, DHS had not yet identified the illegal-alien target’s accomplices. But now we know the ICE agent ran into an illegal-alien wilding. We also know that authorities ignored a detainer and released the illegal sought for apprehension.

“All are Venezuelan illegal aliens who were caught & released at the border by the Biden administration,” Melugin reported today.

“Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis, a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela, previously convicted for driving without a license and arrested for two counts of giving a false name to a peace officer, was the subject of a targeted enforcement operation,” Melugin continued:

He was released by Minnesota authorities before ICE could even lodge a detainer. Sosa-Celis illegally entered the United States in August 2022 under the Biden administration.

Alfredo Alejandro Ajorna, an illegal alien from Venezuela, illegally entered the United States in May 2023 under the Biden administration. After he failed to show up for his immigration hearing, he was issued a final order of removal by an Immigration Judge.

Gabriel Alejandro Hernandez-Ledezma, a criminal illegal alien from Venezuela, [also] illegally entered the United States in May 2023 under the Biden administration. The Biden administration marked this illegal alien as a non-enforcement priority.

Walz Tosses Gas on the Fire

Walz took to video last night to strongly suggest that Minnesotans should interfere with ICE, even as he told them not to break the law and to protect only peacefully.

“News reports simply don’t do justice to the level of chaos and disruption and trauma the federal government is raining down upon our communities,” Walz told viewers:

Two to three thousand armed agents of the federal government have been deployed to Minnesota.

Armed, masked, undertrained ICE agents are going door to door, ordering people to point out where their neighbors of color live.

They’re pulling over people indiscriminately, including U.S. citizens, and demanding to see their papers.…

Let’s be very, very clear: This long ago stopped being a matter of immigration enforcement. 

Instead, it is a campaign of organized brutality against the people of Minnesota by our own federal government.

Walz averred that the “campaign” killed leftist agitator Renee Good, who nearly ran down an ICE agent, and urged Trump and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem to “end this occupation.”

“You’ve done enough,” he said:

Let me say four critical things to the people of Minnesota – four things I need you to hear as you watch the news and look out for your neighbors.

First: Donald Trump wants chaos.

He wants confusion.

And, yes, he wants more violence on our streets.

We cannot give him what he wants.

We can — we must — protest: loudly, urgently, but also peacefully. …

Tonight, I want to share another way you can help: Witness.

Help us establish a record of exactly what’s happening in our communities.

You have an absolute right to peacefully film ICE agents as they conduct their activities.

So carry your phone with you at all times.

And if you see ICE in your neighborhood, take out that phone and hit record.

Help us create a database of the atrocities against Minnesotans – not just to establish a record for posterity, but to bank evidence for future prosecution.

That’s the third thing I want to tell you tonight: We will not have to live like this forever.

Accountability is coming, at the voting booth and in court.

After claiming that Trump “wants more violence on our streets,” Walz then appealed to the president to ease up.

“Let’s turn the temperature down,” he whined, and “stop this campaign of retribution.” And in the widely used leftist mantra, he declared, “This is not who we are.”

FBI Rifle Stolen

Some Minnesotans didn’t get Walz’s message to protest “peacefully” and “turn the temperature down.”

On X, independent journalist Nick Sortor shared video of leftist goons destroying and breaking in to DHS and FBI vehicles. In one case they stole documents, and in another they stole a federal weapons locker.

Federal agents had been forced to abandon them.

“Rioters successfully BROKE OPEN a weapons locker in a federal vehicle and STOLE A RIFLE and ammunition before fleeing,” he wrote, noting that he identified the vehicle of the rifle thief as it drove away:

I captured the thief’s face and license plate on the getaway vehicle.
