The idea that powerful, influential individuals would seek to unite the world’s nations into a one-world government — a new world order — is no longer considered a fringe idea. Just consider the United Nations, which was intended at its inception to serve as a framework for a global government; its own founders and proponents have said as much.

This should surprise no one, as it is only natural for global elites to want to consolidate their power over the world and fashion it according to their desires.

But what would such a scenario mean for those of us who would be ruled by a global government? Specifically, what would a world government mean for Americans?
