NFL Player Trades Helmet for Dancing Shoes

Philadelphia Eagles safety Anthony Harris made a young Texas girl’s wish come true by taking her to her school’s daddy-daughter dance.

Eleven-year-old Audrey Soape lost both her father and grandfather last year, Fox News reported, which was devastating for the young girl, as she was close to both men. And as the January daddy-daughter dance approached, Soape realized that without the two most important men in her life, she had no one to take her to the dance. That’s when her mother reached out on social media to see if Audrey’s favorite football player, the Eagles’ Harris, would consider taking her.

“I told him about the situation, and surprisingly he was more than willing to do it,” Holly Soape told Fox & Friends February 4. “It happened really fast. He said yes probably about a week before, so it was kind of a whirlwind.”
