Super Six-year-old Saves Sister

Six-year-old Kayden Reid of Mobile, Alabama, was hit by a car while rescuing his two-year-old sister, and was given a hero’s welcome when he left the hospital the following day.

Kayden was riding his hoverboard on the sidewalk during a family function on January 18 when he noticed his little sister, Kaycee, run into the street directly in front of an oncoming car, according to Yahoo News. Kayden immediately ran into the street after her and jumped in front of her in time to save her, but was struck by the car in the process.

According to the children’s mother, Kayla Giles, Kayden acted before the family even had a chance to react to the situation.
