Traffic Stop Turns Into Something More
Within hours of pulling over a distraught elderly man for speeding, a Michigan police officer arrived at the man’s house to help resolve what had made the man so upset.
Officer Kevin Coates of the Sterling Heights Police Department stopped the driver, identified only as David, 79, on September 30 for speeding. Dashcam footage of the encounter shows David stepping out of his car and crying.
“Everything’s going wrong,” David told Officer Coates in a shaky voice.
