House Speaker Nancy Pelosi’s own climate hypocrisy has been laid bare for all to see as Federal Election Commission (FEC) documents show clearly that the California Democrat has made multiple payments to private aviation providers between October of 2020 and December of 2021.

According to FEC filings, Pelosi has paid $437,000 to Advanced Aviation Team, a Virginia-based private aviation provider as well as over $65,000 to Clay Lacy Aviation, a California private jet provider, between October of 2020 and December of last year.

According to climate scientists, private aviation produces significant amounts of greenhouse-gas emissions, which people such as Pelosi believe contribute to global warming. A study from the U.S. Energy Information administration purports to show that private aviation, which Pelosi used a great deal between October of 2020 and December of last year, contributes six to seven times more greenhouse gases per passenger than commercial aviation.

A typical commercial flight is said to produce approximately 240 pounds of CO2 emissions per passenger, while the average private flight jumps up to approximately 1,900 pounds of CO2 emissions per passenger.

The revelation of Pelosi’s fossil-fuel-intensive travel habits occurs just a few months after the House Speaker claimed that her fight against climate change was “a religious thing” as she led a 21-member congressional delegation to last November’s COP26 climate summit in Glasgow, Scotland.

“For me, it’s a religious thing,” Pelosi said, as she led the congressional delegation. “I believe this is God’s creation, and we have a moral obligation to be good stewards.

Last September, the speaker raised eyebrows when she said that China’s climate emissions were a more pressing issue than the communist country’s myriad of human-rights violations, including the ongoing genocide against the Uyghurs and other Turkic Muslims in the nation’s Xinjiang region, the brutal subjugation of pro-democracy protesters in Hong Kong, accusations of torture and political murder in Tibet, and the imprisonment of political dissidents in Inner Mongolia.

Instead of using her platform to raise the issue China’s serial human-rights abuses, the speaker of the House chose to scold the communist nation for its greenhouse-gas emissions. “Climate is an overriding issue, and China is a leading emitter in the world,” she said.

Of course, Pelosi is hardly alone in her climate hypocrisy. President Joe Biden, who cut thousands of high-paying energy-sector jobs when he unilaterally shut down the Keystone XL Pipeline with an executive order, spent more than $15 million on private air travel for his 2020 presidential campaign. Biden’s “climate envoy” John Kerry’s family has reportedly used their own private jet at least 16 times in the previous year, according to an August report in The New York Post.

Kerry even took the private jet to Iceland in 2019, ironically to accept an award for his “leadership on the climate issue.”

At the time, Kerry explained, “It’s the only choice for somebody like me who is traveling the world to win this battle.”

“I believe the time it takes to get me somewhere, I can’t sail across the ocean. I have to fly to meet with people and get things done,” the future climate czar said at the time.

It’s ironic that the speaker of the House claims that, for her, climate change is a “religious thing” and a “moral obligation,” while at the same time chooses the absolute least climate-friendly way to travel, according to the climate scientists she claims to be listening to. Ironic, but not at all surprising. The entire Malthusian climate-change religion has more hypocrites per square mile than any other cult in the world.
