In this episode of Conversations That Matter, The New American’s Alex Newman is joined by author and Constitution educator Deborah Palmer to discuss her new book, The U.S. Constitution & Bible Side-by-Side, and to answer those questions.
Newman and Palmer examine the Constitution alongside Scripture, exploring the Founders’ understanding of liberty, limited government, rights, and the proper role of civil authority, discovering that those principles derived from the Bible. They also unpack why constitutional literacy matters at a time when the size and reach of government have expanded far beyond what the founders intended.
As Americans observe our 250th birthday as a nation, we must get back to basics and understand the true nature of our founding and return to the truth of the Bible and the Constitution.
