Trump: Iranian Civilization to Be Obliterated Tonight. Calls for 25th Amendment Removal Continue

President Trump’s continuing deranged threats against Iran have inspired conservatives and leftists alike to call for his removal from office on 25th Amendment grounds.

The latest from Trump: “A whole civilization will die tonight.” The genocidal threat to exterminate the Iranian population drew rebukes from former GOP Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene, longtime supporter and podcaster Alex Jones, former counterterrorism chief Joe Kent, and others.

The latest threat follows two days of others, one to destroy the entire country and one to destroy the nation’s power plants.

Armageddon Ahead?

While Trump’s social-media posts have always been off the wall, he seemed to have completely flipped his lid on Easter Sunday, of all days, when he delivered an F-bomb rant about destroying Iran’s electrical grid.

“Tuesday will be Power Plant Day, and Bridge Day, all wrapped up in one, in Iran,” he wrote on Truth Social:

There will be nothing like it!!! Open the F****n’ Strait, you crazy b****rds, or you’ll be living in Hell – JUST WATCH! Praise be to Allah.

There followed another threat during the news conference, at which Trump and top officials detailed the rescue of two Air Force F-15 aviators in Iran.

Noting that Operation Epic Fury is succeeding “at a level that nobody’s ever seen before,” Trump said that “the entire country can be taken out in one night, and that night might be tomorrow night.”

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth likewise warned the country that its leaders had better “choose wisely.”

But today Trump’s mental train derailed.

“A whole civilization will die tonight, never to be brought back again,” he warned:

I don’t want that to happen, but it probably will. However, now that we have Complete and Total Regime Change, where different, smarter, and less radicalized minds prevail, maybe something revolutionarily wonderful can happen, WHO KNOWS? We will find out tonight, one of the most important moments in the long and complex history of the World. 47 years of extortion, corruption, and death, will finally end. God Bless the Great People of Iran!

Reaction

Today, the calls for Trump to be removed on 25th Amendment grounds began anew. The 25th Amendment provides for the removal of a president who cannot discharge the duties of his office.

“Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President,” Section Four of the amendment says:

Thereafter, when the President transmits to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives his written declaration that no inability exists, he shall resume the powers and duties of his office unless the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive department or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit within four days to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office. Thereupon Congress shall decide the issue, assembling within forty-eight hours for that purpose if not in session. If the Congress, within twenty-one days after receipt of the latter written declaration, or, if Congress is not in session, within twenty-one days after Congress is required to assemble, determines by two-thirds vote of both Houses that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall continue to discharge the same as Acting President; otherwise, the President shall resume the powers and duties of his office.

Taylor Greene and others are ready to boot Trump because they think he’s nutty as a Payday.

“25TH AMENDMENT!!!” she wrote this morning on X:

Not a single bomb has dropped on America. We cannot kill an entire civilization.

This is evil and madness.

Hours later, Taylor Greene reminded followers why Trump was elected:

“Trump was elected to go to war against America’s deep state and to end America’s involvement in foreign wars. Not to kill an entire civilization while waging a foreign war on behalf of Israel, another foreign country.”

Likewise, Jones suggested using the 25th to remove Trump, as did Scott McConnell, founding editor of The American Conservative, by reposting far-left, hate-Trump Democratic Senator Chris Murphy of Connecticut. Murphy attacked Trump after his F-Bomb power-plant threat.

“If the United States Congress has any life left in it, every member of Congress and senator must be calling for Trump’s removal today based on the 25th amendment,” far-left Democratic Representative Ro Khanna of California said today:

He’s threatening the entire destruction of a civilization, he is calling Iranians animals, he is showing a total disregard for the humanity of people in Iran. In Gaza, in Cuba. This is a moral crime. It is a war crime.

Others Denounce Post

Kent, who resigned as National Counterterrorism Director after the air raids against Iran began, said America “now stands in danger.”

“If he attempts to eradicate Iranian civilization, the United States will no longer be viewed as a stabilizing force in the world, but as an agent of chaos — effectively ending our status as the world’s greatest superpower,” the former Green Beret wrote on X:

This would upend our economy and shatter the global order. The process is already underway, yet we still have time to avert catastrophe if Trump finds the courage to pursue serious negotiations rather than reckless rage and destruction.

Podcaster Glenn Greenwald, who often defended Trump because of his pledges to stop foreign wars, reminded followers about Trump’s key advisors: two Israel-first lunatics.

“This is one of the sickest, most demented, most morally reprehensible and most disgusting things any American President has ever said,: Greenwald wrote on X:

But it’s vital to remember that among his most influential war advisers are the fanatical Israel First loyalists Laura Loomer and Mark Levin.

“If Trump doesn’t carry through on his stated genocidal vows — and yet again finds an excuse to extend the deadline or just fails to do what he promised — what happens to the credibility of American threats?” Greenwald asked:

If Trump does it, it’s historic evil. If he doesn’t, it’s pathetic.

Yesterday, Greenwald roasted Trump for calling Iranians animals:

“This excuse for cutting off all power and bridges to 96 million Iranians (the population we’re pretending to save) — “they’re animals — is verbatim the excuse given by Israel as to why they were cutting off all food, water and fuel from entering Gaza (“they’re animals”),” he wrote.

Carrie Prejean Boller, the Catholic who was kicked off the the White House Religious Liberty Commission for opposing Zionism, called for Christian administration officials to quit their posts:

The President of the United States is threatening to kill a whole civilization. I’m calling on every single Christian to RESIGN IMMEDIATELY from this administration. If you don’t, the blood of innocent human life is on your hands. Trump is an evil psychopath.
