What They Said
Political Newcomer Issues Bold Proclamation
“If I win Iowa, I’ll be your next president.”
Hardly anyone had heard of 38-year-old Vivek Ramaswamy until he appeared as a participant in the first GOP debate. He has rented an apartment in Des Moines and will be campaigning all over the state until the results of the January 15, 2024 caucus are counted.
Hamas Leader Threatens Repeating the October 7 Massacre of More Than 1,000 Civilians
“We are not ashamed to say it with full force. We have to teach Israel a lesson, and we will do it again and again.”
Senior Hamas leader Ghazi Hamad defended the killing of noncombatants. He issued his statement more than two weeks after Hamas terrorists killed more than a thousand Jewish attendees at a music festival held in southern Israel near the Gaza border.
Record Number of Chinese Entering U.S. Through Southern Border
“Despite the distances involved and the difficulties of the journey, more than 24,000 Chinese citizens have been apprehended crossing into the United States from Mexico in the past year. They typically fly into Ecuador, where they do not need a visa. Then ... they pay smugglers to guide their travel through the dangerous jungle between Colombia and Panama en route to the United States.”
In her front-page New York Times article about Chinese entering the U.S. via Mexico, Eileen Sullivan failed to note that some of the 24,000 who entered illegally last year might be terrorists. She did mention that some of these border-crossers might aid in spreading death-dealing fentanyl within the United States.
