Uncovering the CFR, Deep State Establishment
“The Power Behind the Throne,” the well-known expression incorporated into the title of the cover story by Senior Editor William F. Jasper (page 10), refers here to the powerful personages who comprise an invisible, unelected government of the United States exercising extraordinary control over the visible, elected government.
Such a power behind the throne is not unique to America or to our own times. British statesman Benjamin Disraeli observed in 1844, “The world is governed by very different personages from what is imagined by those who are not behind the scenes.”
But in America, and in our own times, this behind-the-scenes governance is now “imagined” not only by those pulling the strings but also by many millions of Americans whose eyes are now wide open to what is often referred to as the Deep State.
