Billionaire Bill Gates praised a controversial influence group backed by the Chinese Communist Party for its efforts to build “friendship,” as revealed in deleted webpages.

Gates visited the group in question, the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), in June 2014 to give a speech on philanthropy.

The CPAFFC has been called the “public face” of the United Front Work Department, which is a billion-dollar effort by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) to “to co-opt and neutralize sources of potential opposition to the policies and authority of its ruling Chinese Communist Party” and “influence foreign individuals and the policies of foreign states to serve Beijing’s interests,” per the federal U.S.-China Security and Economic Review Commission.

Moreover, CPAFFC, which has been referred to as “avowedly an arm of the party-state,” has been flagged by the U.S. State Department for its efforts to “directly and malignly influence” business and political leaders in America.

Gates spoke for the organization despite its known campaigns to spread communist influence in the United States.

According to archived pages from a subsidiary of CPAFFC, the China Friendship Foundation For Peace And Development, Gates’ speech was titled “Invent For The Poor.” Per a summary of the event, the association’s president was in attendance.

“Under the auspices of President Li Xiaolin, Mr. Bill Gates, dressed in a red short-sleeved T-shirt with a smile and confidence on his face, shared his personal experience in philanthropy and called on people to pay attention to the world, especially in Africa,” the summary reads.

“He emphasized the non-negligible role played by the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries in the world’s friendship and mutual assistance,” it notes.

Gates also sent a letter of congratulations in 2017 to CPAFFC while it was holding its World Philanthropy Forum, jointly hosted alongside Tsinghua University. This is the alma mater of Chinese president Xi Jinping and is home to a “Marxist” journalism school, training the next generation of Chinese state-run media propagandists with the assistance of the New York Times, CNN, and others.

As the National Pulse has reported:

Also listed as collaborating on the explicitly Marxist venture are individuals such as CNN host Fareed Zakaria and Facebook Vice President Lori Goler, who both served as guest lecturers in 2017.

Bloomberg’s Editor-at-Large and columnist Lee Miller is listed as a professor, while Leslie Wayne, a contributor and former business reporter at the New York Times, is a Visiting Fellow. Also included in the ranks of professors and fellows are a host of CCP apparatchiks.

Bill Gates and Microsoft have a number of ties to the CCP. The billionaire-philanthropist served on a steering committee for the China-United States Exchange Foundation (CUSEF).

Moreover, Gates, along with former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, spoke at a 2012 forum hosted by the China Association for International Friendly Contact (CAIFC).

The U.S. government has described CAIFC as “a front organization for the former General Political Department” for the CCP, performing “dual roles of intelligence collection and conducting propaganda and perception management campaigns.”

“CAIFC has additional ties to the Ministries of State Security, Civil Affairs, and Foreign Affairs, and it is a platform for deploying undercover intelligence gatherers. In addition to sending intelligence collectors abroad, CAIFC sponsors trips to China by foreign military and veteran groups, businesspeople, and former politicians which typically include contact with hand-picked People’s Liberation Army personnel,” adds the U.S.-China Security and Economic Review Commission report.

As for Microsoft, the company did the Chinese government a favor by building it a version of its popular Windows operating system for use by the Chinese government in 2015.

Microsoft, along with Facebook, Apple, and Amazon, is among the American tech firms to be represented at a conference held by the Cyberspace Administration of China, which leads the Chinese Communist Party’s digital COVID-19 disinformation campaign.

It isn’t only China with whom Bill Gates has been friendly over the years. He met deceased financier and pedophile sex-trafficker Jeffrey Epstein on multiple occasions, flying on Epstein’s private jet and visiting him at his opulent townhouse.

Gates stopped contact with Epstein in 2014, but foundation employees stayed in touch with the sex offender through 2017, well after the truth about him emerged. Gates even gave a $2 million donation to MIT’s Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Lab (CSAIL) at Epstein’s request.
