More Than 50K Moroccans Surge in Ceuta, Spain, as Social Media Critics Blame U.S., Israel, for Pushing Invasion
As many as 60,000 Islamic invaders have surged from Morocco into Ceuta, a Spanish outpost on the North African coast.
Video of the invaders — almost all military-age men, just like the Biden “migrants” who invaded the United States from 2020 through 2024 — shows them attacking homes and breaking into stores as police, and now the army, struggle to control the horde of conquering Muslims.
Video also shows the army of North Africans’ attacks on police and civilians alike, which belies the far-left media claim that the invasion is a “migration crisis.”
On social media, observers are speculating that the invasion was encouraged by Israel and the United States. They point to a report from the House Appropriations Committee in April — when Spanish protesters burned Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in effigy — which claimed that Ceuta belongs to Morocco.
As well, an X post in 2019 from Netanyahu’s son, Yair, encouraged “Arab and Muslims” to invade Ceuta.
War in the Streets
Ceuta is on the Alboran Sea, the westernmost waters of the Mediterranean, about 18 miles across the Strait of Gibraltar from mainland Spain.
As The New American reported yesterday, the invasion began on July 29 and coincided with King Mohammed VII’s pardon of more than 1,500 Moroccan criminals.
But not all the invaders are Moroccans. Some come from as far as Bangladesh.
And 1,500 doesn’t account for what the New York Times reported today was a siege by at least 60,000 invaders — three to five times the size of a U.S. Army division. Another report put the figure at 80,000.
Almost three dozen of the invaders have died, and some have turned back because they are hungry, the Times reported.
As well, the Times continued, the invaders don’t plan to stay in Ceuta. They’re headed for mainland Spain, possibly as part of a move to reconquer the nation, which Isabella I of Castile and Ferdinand II of Aragon freed from Islamic rule in 1492 at the Battle of Granada.
“I don’t want to live in Morocco, I want to live in Europe,” said Zakaria Lahmer, 23, the Times reported:
Lahmer showed burns on his right leg and said Moroccan police had beaten him when he was trying to leave the country. “I want a job, I want happiness,” he said. He said he was starving but wanted to stay in Spain at all costs.
The colony’s 83,000 residents are undoubtedly terrified, particularly given what happened to women on New Year’s in 2015-2016 in Germany. Arabs and North Africans sexually assaulted 1,200 women. “I’m scared, I’m surrounded and trembling,” a sobbing woman said on camera:
We need help. It’s catastrophic. Today it’s Ceuta, but tomorrow it’ll be the Canary Islands or Tarifa.
Video showed trucks dumping invaders at the border to cross, outnumbered and overwhelmed cops trying to stop the Muslims from looting stores and entering homes. They invaders are setting ablaze cars and fighting police.
The government of Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez deployed troops and he visited Ceuta. Residents of the enclave booed him.
Trump Blames Open Borders. Did Israel, Congress Encourage Invasion?
A White House spokesman, the Times observed, blamed Europe’s “far-left, globalist policies, including enabling mass migration.”
As well, the Times pointed to an X post from Stephen Miller:
The Democrats did this to America every single day for 4 years under Biden and will do it again instantaneously, but orders of magnitude greater, if they are given any form of national power. Democrats will see your home trampled and stolen by invaders and they will rejoice.
True enough. The question is whether Israel and its lobby in Congress encouraged the invasion.
Spain has repeatedly condemned Israel’s military occupation of Gaza and the West Bank. An effigy of Netanyahu was blown up and burned in Spain on April 5.
“Israel will not remain silent in the face of those who attack us,” Netanyahu said:
Spain has defamed our heroes, the soldiers of the IDF, the soldiers of the most moral army in the world.
Therefore, I have instructed today to remove Spain’s representatives from the coordination center in Kiryat Gat, after Spain has chosen repeatedly to stand against Israel.
Those who attack the State of Israel instead of terrorist regimes will not be our partners regarding the future of the region.
I am not willing to tolerate this hypocrisy and hostility. I do not intend to allow any country to wage a diplomatic war against us without paying an immediate price.
On April 30, the U.S. House Appropriations Committee’s 2027 bill to fund the State Department recognized Ceuta as Morocco’s:
The Committee notes the historic alliance between the United States and Morocco, as formalized in 1786 by the Moroccan-American Treaty of Peace and Friendship. The Committee notes that the Spanish-administered cities of Ceuta and Melilla are located in Moroccan territory and remain the subject of Morocco’s longstanding claim. The Committee supports efforts by the Secretary of State to encourage diplomatic engagement between Morocco and Spain on the future status of Ceuta and Melilla.
But long before that, one top Israeli encouraged Muslims to retake Ceuta and Melilla, another Spanish exclave about 140 miles east of Ceuta along Morocco’s Mediterranean coast.
“Dear Arabs and Muslims. Want to free occupied Arab Islamic lands? Here’s a good start!” Netanyahu’s son wrote on X over a map of the region. “Let’s make a deal, we won’t fund NGOs in your country calling you to give away Ceuta and Melilla, and you will *stop* funding NGOs in our country that calls us to give away Judea and Samaria.”
