“Khan” Soon to Be Most Common “English” Surname; 4 in 5 New U.K. Jobs Go to Migrants
No, it’s not The Wrath of Khan but The Rise of Khan — due to immigrationist policy.
In 2023, “Muhammad” made news, overtaking “Noah” as England’s and Wales’ most popular boy’s name. And now biblical-flood-level migration will give Britain a new leader in surnames as well, with “Khan” poised to displace “Smith” next year.
This is accompanied, too, by other telling news. Four of five new jobs in Britain over the last decade have been taken by foreigners, a think tank finds. Whether or not this results from migrants having a Khan-do attitude was not reported. What’s for certain, however, is that many native Britons feel as if they’re being “Khanned” right out of their culture.
None of this seems to bother left-wing U.K. Prime Minister Andy Burnham, though. He’s occupying himself trying to convince his nation that Brexit is a big con. His conspiracy theory: Russian president Vladimir Putin manipulated Brits into voting for it. And now they should, he insists, rejoin the European Union and show that Russki a thing or two.
Of course, with current cultural developments, some may say Britain should rejoin Pakistan — this time as the colony.
Making a “John Smith” Name Claim Believable
As for the Khan revelation, it comes from data published by the Office for National Statistics. As Breitbart reports today:
The report notes the long trend of decline in English surnames and the surge in births to migrant-origin mothers, and that Smith was already just a few hundred births away from being overtaken by Khan in the 2026 data release, which covers births that took place in 2025. Last year, 4,100 babies were born to Smith families, while 3,700 Khan family babies were born in England and Wales.
The report notes that in 1996, every surname in the top-ten most common for births was of British origin, yet today just three of the top ten are British.
The top ten most common surnames for new-borns in the latest statistics are in descending order; Smith, Khan, Ahmed, Ali, Jones, Hussain, Singh, Williams, Patel. [sic] and Kaur.
Note that seven of the top 10 are non-native-British and that the above is based on the latest data. Again, it is next year that Khan will conquer, ending Smith’s nearly thousand-year reign. Smith is believed to have been Britain’s most popular surname ever since last names were adopted post-Norman Conquest (1066 A.D.).
Moreover, this name-transition phenomenon “isn’t exclusive to Britain,” Breitbart adds. For example, “Muhammed has become a top baby name in France, Germany, and Austria too.”
Anyway, there is good news here. Soon, claiming your name is Muhammad Khan, and not John Smith, may be met with “Yeah, right!” Second, Britain now has some food tastier than beans on toast.
Doing a Job on Britain
Whether or not native Brits can afford that food, however, is a different story, with the jobs Khan job. As Breitbart also informs today:
The State of Dependency report from the Centre for Social Justice (CSJ) has found that since 2014, only 734,000 jobs were given to British citizens, compared to nearly three million being taken by immigrants. The think tank said that around 408,000 of such jobs were given to EU nationals, while the overwhelming majority, 2.5 million, were handed out to migrants from outside of Europe.
The biggest transition to employing foreigners occurred during the Covid situation. Then-Prime Minister Boris Johnson opened the immigration floodgates — despite his Conservative party’s vow to stem the flow. He put the onus for this on the U.K.’s Treasury department, saying it urged him to pursue “human quantitative easing.” The idea was that “cheap” foreign labor would help fight inflation.
Yet this cheap scheme turned out to be quite expensive, as increased dependency has accompanied it. As Breitbart also reports:
According to the CSJ, while the number of migrant workers in Britain rose by 2.1 million since 2020, the number of people in the country receiving out-of-work welfare benefits rose by 2.3 million during the same time period, costing the taxpayer an additional £21 billion ($28bn) in real terms. The report lamented that “employers have gained unprecedented access to overseas labour while taxpayers have absorbed the growing cost of domestic worklessness.”
In total, the report found that some 6.7 million people in Britain are now receiving at least one such benefit, resulting in a bill of £136 billion ($180bn) this year, an increase of £50 billion ($66bn) in real terms since 2019-20, or £1,200 ($1,590) per taxpayer.
This is, mind you, in a country the size of Michigan.
What’s more, many of these welfare recipients are migrants themselves. In fact, between 2019 and 2024, visas granted to “dependent migrants” rose 400 percent. Why there’s a visa category such as “dependent migrants” is not explained. What is explained, by Breitbart, is this:
Although mass migration was often pitched to the public as a solution to prop up the welfare state to support ageing indigenous populations, the report found that around £14.3 billion ($19bn) in taxpayer money is currently being handed out to working-age migrants living in Britain, and it is expected to rise to £16.3 billion ($22bn) by 2030.
“This represents a major change in scope to a welfare state founded on the principle of contribution and reciprocity. Migration, welfare and taxation emerge as interconnected parts of the same broken economic model. For too long, policy has prioritised adding migrants to the economy rather than unlocking the potential of even a fraction of the 6.7 million people in the hidden unemployment crisis,” the report said.
Of course, though, all the aforementioned immigrationism-born problems will continue, and worsen, as long as Britons keep empowering establishment parties. They do this because they want things these entities deliver (e.g., handouts) or get frightened by radical claims that the anti-establishment parties are themselves “radical.”
Anyway, all this explains why one Timothy Miller attended court in a burka — after being arrested for wearing a burka. He’d participated in an anti-migration protest thus attired September 12.
As Mr. Miller, 76, told the judge:
I am studying Islam as it seems to be the most beneficial religion to be noticed in this climate today.
Note that authorities accused Miller of trying to hide his face, which is ironic. After all, Britain has been hiding its Western face for ages now, being collectively ashamed of its own culture. The result?
It was once said that Britannia rules the waves. Now, waves of migration rule Britannia.
