France Is Blowing Up: Is a Red-Green Alliance Burning Its Western System Down?

It was during the French Revolution, that bloody 10-year affair, that modern “leftism” was officially born. We’re seeing shades of it, too, in France currently, with widespread rioting, arson, vandalism, and looting.

This is the result of what are called “protests,” ostensibly motivated by a desire for better school conditions. (And, of course, nothing says “I want better schoolhouses” like … burning down schoolhouses.) But, well, as a 1960s SDS radical reportedly put it, “The issue is never the issue. The issue is always the revolution.”

President Emmanuel Macron’s government may agree, too. Though left-wing by our standards (it’s technically described as centrist or “center-right” — ahem), even national French officials are blaming the rioting on the “hard left.”

Yet often ignored here is something else hard, a quite un-woke truth: The violence is, many observers assert, predominantly Islamist-driven. And the rioting did begin in areas with large non-native-French populations. The reality may be, too, that the mayhem actually results from a red-green (Islamist/left-wing) alliance.

What’s for sure is that the French government has been anything but hard-nosed. That is, they’ve been characteristically weak and have given, to quote ex-Baltimore mayor Stephanie Rawlings-Blake, the rioters “space” to “destroy.”

Tolerating the Intolerable

And destroy they have. As the Daily Mail reported Thursday:

Protests began last Monday, when students and teaching staff took to French towns and cities to demand the replacement of absent teachers, an increase of educational resources, school renovations and ‘decent’ learning conditions.

But disorder has spread since Tuesday with some … [5,000 arrests and hundreds of police officers injured].

The unrest gathered pace this week after the Left-wing mayor of Saint-Denis, Bally Bagayoko, told protesters on Tuesday ‘violence can be legitimate’ in remarks that sparked fury across the country.

In Marseille, staff at the Victor Hugo High School were splashed with petrol as the school was targeted in an arson attempt. All members of staff were forced to take refuge inside the building for their safety.

Note here that literally thousands of schools have been targeted.

Yet since a “picture is worth a thousand words,” video perhaps tells more than text can. Let’s start with commentary site RadioGenoa, which references the red-green alliance (below).

Then there’s the following footage, which includes a policeman being beaten into unconsciousness.

The Big Red in the Green

Now, legacy media characterize the rioters as mostly “teenagers”; during past violent events, they’ve often euphemistically been called “youths.” There’s no further specificity because while it’s apparently okay fingering young people, other demographics enjoy pseudo-elite-dictated reputational protection.

But some commentators are speaking up against this. For example, activist Eva Vlaardingerbroek (below) states that the Left here is simply a catalyst animating an “Afro-Arab Islamic army.”

The below tweets illustrate the phenomenon Vlaardingerbroek references.

There are non-French flags flying, too:

And below is the aforementioned Saint-Denis mayor, Bally Bagayoko. As a fire burns nearby, this son of Malian African migrants is celebrating with rioters, dancing away. I guess he doesn’t own a fiddle.

Demographics Are Destiny — Even When They’re Hidden

Picking up Vlaardingerbroek’s baton and running with it, commentator Andrea Widburg addresses another demographics-related matter. Now, note here that French law largely prohibits official statistics on race and ethnicity. It’s thus difficult ascertaining exactly how large the nation’s Muslim population is. Consequently, writes Widburg, “I asked ChatGPT to assemble the available data, which I present here [chart below]. Please follow this link to see the caveats it attached to this data, and this link to see its source material.”

Widburg then presents the following food for thought:

Keeping those numbers in your head, especially for Marseille, consider this historically-based analysis that Michael Haltman compiled based on data in Peter Hammond’s Slavery, Terrorism and Islam: The Historical Roots and Contemporary Threat:

After reaching 20%, nations can expect hair-trigger rioting, jihad militia formations, sporadic killings, and the burnings of Christian churches and Jewish synagogues, such as in:

Ethiopia — Muslim 32.8%

At 40%, nations experience widespread massacres, chronic terror attacks, and ongoing militia warfare, such as in:

Bosnia — Muslim 40%

Chad — Muslim 53.1%

Lebanon — Muslim 59.7%

Of course, at 60%, it’s all over for any belief system other than Islam.

Note that “hair-trigger rioting” is precisely what France has endured for many years now.

Sins of Omission

Whatever the violence’s impetus, for certain is this: It merely reflects Western weakness — our civilization’s feminization. Relevant here, too, is the following paraphrase of intellectual Thomas Sowell.

Related to this, Sowell also addressed how to handle riots. In 2014, he pointed out that during 1960s rioting, Chicago had far fewer deaths than Detroit despite its larger population. The reason?

Then-Chicago Mayor Richard J. Daley went on TV and announced that he’d authorized police to “shoot to kill” arsonists or anyone holding a Molotov cocktail.

Of course, this was denounced by legacy media as barbaric. But who really is uncivilized here?

A true civilization does not allow miscreants to run amok and harm the innocent. It doesn’t sit idly by while barbarians burn a woman’s face with fire. Oh, you can and should begin with non-lethal force. (Technology can help in that — sound-wave weapons come to mind.) But if restoring domestic tranquility requires deadly force, then it isn’t merely justified — it’s morally obligatory.

Know something else, too. Liberals emphasized during our hundreds of 2020 U.S. riots that most all the protesters were peaceful. And guess what?

They were right.

The point, however, isn’t just that it’s the three-percenters who’ll kill you. It’s also that these protests are used by that small group of evil opportunists as an excuse to wreak havoc. These people are psychopaths, narcissists, and other assorted miscreants. It’s not only inexcusable giving them free rein, but, and this should concern liberals, it discredits the protest movements in question. (This said, some Machiavellian upper-echelon leftists want these rioters to destabilize society.)

The bottom line is that authorities who fail to act and those supporting them aren’t compassionate, as their self-flattery holds. They’re just weak — and weakness invites conquest.
