The Overnight Success of “Rich Men North of Richmond” Indicates Americans Are Sane and Awake, Not Woke

The establishment opinion cartel wants you to believe that woke entertainment genuinely represents Americans’ values.

It doesn’t.

Woke entertainment represents what the degenerate opinion cartel wants to turn America into.

The entertainment establishment works in tandem with other deviously motivated institutional elements to turn America into a woke, socialist and utterly degenerate country. The same is true of academia, major media, and other cultural organs the Left dominates, which is most of them.

But the process of radically transforming America into a collectivist, helpless, mentally ill, and profoundly perverted society is not only far from complete, but under assault by a counter offensive. Millions of Americans still hold traditional American values. Millions also recognize that the planned transformation of America is being forced-fed down our throats from the top.

And they’ve had it.

The most recent indication that Americans are still sane and awake is the overnight smashing success of the country music song Rich Men North of Richmond by Oliver Anthony.

Here are some of the lyrics:

Livin’ in the new world

With an old soul

These rich men north of Richmond

Lord knows they all just wanna have total control

Wanna know what you think, wanna know what you do

And they don’t think you know, but I know that you do

‘Cause your dollar ain’t sh-t and it’s taxed to no end

‘Cause of rich men

The lyrics indicate that he’s talking about the power elites, or what is sometimes referred to as the Deep State, don’t they?

Rich Men North of Richmond has gone viral on YouTube since its August 7 release, where it has already gotten more than 10 million views. The song has also surged to number one on the iTunes chart. This is despite the fact that Mr. Anthony, of Farmville, Virginia, which is south of Washington, D.C., was unknown when the month began. Just two weeks ago, Mr. Anthony was recording his performances with his phone and broadcasting them to the paltry few he reached.

Rich Men North of Richmond is resonating with tens of millions of Americans from sea to shining sea. Mr. Anthony has literally become an overnight sensation, and all because he wrote a song that speaks to Americans.

This is starting to become a pattern. Because previously number one at iTunes was another country music song that also resonated with everyday Americans: Jason Aldean’s Try That in a Small Town. Aldean sings about what used to be widely-recognized values, and I would argue, still are: respecting Old Glory, respecting police officers, respecting private property, respecting each other, and ultimately, watching out for each other when those unwritten rules are violated. The idea is that in a small town, where sanity still prevails, people take care of each other and will not allow their community to devolve into New York City or Los Angeles.

Our third example of recently-released art that is reflecting the true American culture is the smashing success of the Sound of Freedom movie. Though done outside Hollywood, the small-budget indi film has made almost $173 million at the domestic box office as of last weekend. The movie, we all know, was for the most part ignored by the major media until its July 4th opening. It has been ridiculously attacked as a “Q’Anon” movie, an insane thing to do considering the reality and seriousness of child sex trafficking.

There is something happening in America. The success of these songs and the movie we mentioned are telling us something.

In his first concert since exploding on the scene, Oliver Anthony did something that may speak more to what is truly happening than most realize. He read Psalm 37. Here is part of it:

Do not fret because of those who are evil or be envious of those who do wrong;

for like the grass they will soon wither, like green plants they will soon die away.

Trust in the LORD and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.

Take delight in the LORD, and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him and he will do this:

He will make your righteous reward shine like the dawn, your vindication like the noonday sun.

Be still before the LORD and wait patiently for him; do not fret when people succeed in their ways, when they carry out their wicked schemes.

Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil.

For those who are evil will be destroyed, but those who hope in the LORD will inherit the land.

A little while, and the wicked will be no more; though you look for them, they will not be found.

But the meek will inherit the land and enjoy peace and prosperity.

The wicked plot against the righteous and gnash their teeth at them;

but the Lord laughs at the wicked, for he knows their day is coming.

The wicked draw the sword and bend the bow to bring down the poor and needy, to slay those whose ways are upright.

But their swords will pierce their own hearts, and their bows will be broken.

Better the little that the righteous have than the wealth of many wicked;

for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.

The blameless spend their days under the LORD’s care, and their inheritance will endure forever.

In times of disaster they will not wither; in days of famine they will enjoy plenty.

But the wicked will perish: Though the LORD’s enemies are like the flowers of the field, they will be consumed, they will go up in smoke.

The wicked borrow and do not repay, but the righteous give generously;

those the LORD blesses will inherit the land, but those he curses will be destroyed.
