Doug Emhoff, the husband of Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris, has been accused of slapping his former girlfriend and causing his nanny to miscarry his love child.
The devastating report in the Daily Mail couldn’t have landed at a more inauspicious time for Harris. It comes a day after vice presidential candidate Tim Walz took a beat down in a debate with U.S. Senator J.D. Vance, former President Donald Trump’s running mate.
And on September 30, the House Oversight Committee subpoenaed the Homeland Security Department for documents relating to Walz’s ties with Chinese Reds.
Now Harris’ husband — who once denounced toxic masculinity — is in the hot seat. Just days ago, MSNBC hostess Jen Psaki told the world that Emhoff is the paradigm for men everywhere.
Allegations
The 59-year-old, known as the Second Gentleman, “allegedly struck the woman in the face so hard she spun around, while waiting in a valet line late at night after a May 2012 Cannes Film Festival event in France,” the website reported:
One of her friends told DailyMail.com that the woman called him immediately after the incident, sobbing in her cab, and described the alleged assault.
The woman is a lawyer whom the website identified only as “Jane.” Like Tara Reade, who told friends and relatives about then-Senator Joe Biden’s sexually assaulting her, Jane told more than one friend.
Another confirmed that “Jane, who had been dating Emhoff for three months, also told her about the alleged violence at the time,” the website continued.
“A third friend told DailyMail.com that Jane first told her in 2014 that she had dated Emhoff, and recounted the full story of his alleged abuse in 2018, when then Senator Harris was in the news after grilling Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh in a Senate hearing over sexual assault allegations,” the website reported.
The friends gave photos of Emhoff and Jane to the website, along with other documentary evidence.
Emhoff clobbered Jane at about 3:00 a.m. after an AIDS fundraiser in Cannes in Southern France.
“One of Jane’s friends, a top New York businessman, said he was at home getting ready for bed that night when he got an unexpected phone call from her,” the website reported:
“It was hard to hear her because she was sobbing,” he said. “She told me she was with a guy and he hit her.
“It was very clear what she was telling me. She said she was with a guy, her date, she was at the Cannes Film Festival, and he hit her.”
The couple was waiting in a long line for a taxi, so Jane gave 100 Euros to the valet to let the couple skip ahead. “She told me she put her hand on his shoulder,” the friend said.
Emhoff thought she was flirting with the valet and “came over and slapped her in the face.”
Janes slapped him back and ended their affair, which began when the two met on Match.com.
“A second friend, another female New York attorney, said Jane told her about the alleged attack at the time — and said it came out of nowhere,” the website reported:
“They had dinner. She said Doug was very charming, and it was lovely. Then I believe it was between 2-3am, it was still raging, but she was wearing four-inch heels and a floor-length gown, so it was time to depart,” the lawyer said.
She said there’d been no fight before he hit her. You would have thought it was this fairytale trip.
The lawyer friend confirmed details about the valet. The future Second Gentleman “slapped her so hard she spun around,” the woman lawyer friend told the website. “She said she was in utter shock.”
The “Teacher Story”
Undoubtedly she was. The ferocious slap “woke her up about the self-delusion she was having, explaining away the teacher story,” the woman lawyer told the website. “She realized he was bad news. This was the first time she saw his ugly side.”
Ugly might be an understatement, apropos of that “teacher story.”
In August, the Daily Mail revealed that Emhoff is an adulterer. While married to his first wife with whom he had two kids, he cheated with his daughter’s nanny and teacher, Najen Naylor.
The adultery, which Emhoff admitted, ended his first marriage, the Mail revealed. Now, Jane’s friends have added a new twist to that story.
“All three of Jane’s friends said she also told them about a disturbing alleged incident during her relationship with the Second Gentleman, in which Emhoff nonchalantly admitted to impregnating Naylor,” the website reported:
Emhoff told Jane that the nanny accused him of causing her to have a miscarriage, the friends claimed.
According to the friends, Emhoff did not say how he was allegedly responsible for the miscarriage, and he told Jane that the nanny’s claims were false.
But the Second Gentleman allegedly confessed to Jane that he paid Naylor a settlement of around $80,000, and had the nanny sign a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).
Denounced Toxic Masculinity
In something of a droll coincidence, Psaki, who shilled for the Biden White House before she landed her gig on MSNBC, let Emhoff pontificate about masculinity during an interview that aired on Sunday.
For her profile called “The Gentleman,” Psaki told Emhoff — who hopes to become the first First Gentleman — that he has “reshaped the perception of masculinity” because he gave up his legal career to tag along behind Harris.
“My dad was like this and I am like this. To me it is the right thing to do, support women.”
Psaki noted that Emhoff is a “wife guy,” although he doesn’t seem to have been much a “girlfriend guy” or “nanny guy.”
Among Emhoff’s fanboys is Washington Post columnist Jonathan Capehart. A homosexual, Capehart turned lavender with joy on meeting Emhoff, “the antidote to toxic masculinity.”
“We’ve kind of confused what it means to be a man, what it means to be masculine,” Emhoff told the admiring Capehart in March 2023:
You’ve got this trope out there that you’ve got to be tough and angry and lash out to be strong. It’s just the opposite. Strength is how you show your love for people. Strength is how you are for people and how you have their back. And how you stick up for other people and [push back] against bullies.
“Hear! Hear!” Capehart gushed.
When Psaki or Capehart will interview Emhoff again to ask about the time he tried to knock Jane’s teeth out has not been announced.
