If border czar Tom Homan gets his way, Democratic U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York just might find herself in a jail cell.

For the second time, the congresswoman has given advice to illegal aliens on how to avoid deportation. Homan emailed the Justice Department to find out whether she has impeded Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) from doing its job.

Homan told Fox talker Laura Ingraham that AOC, as the congresswoman is known, could land in hot water.

Ocasio-Cortez, of course, isn’t the only elected official to help illegals avoid deportation. Another is Democratic New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy, who seemingly confessed to hiding an illegal in his home.

And five years ago, Congresswoman Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.) confessed to helping illegals enter the country to apply for asylum.

Webinar for Illegals

On February 12, Ocasio-Cortez hosted on her Facebook page a webinar by the far-left Immigrant Defense Project titled “Know Your Rights With ICE.”

The 54-minute webinar featured women subversives offering advice to illegals on how to avoid arrest and deportation.

Explaining that its information is not legal advice, the webinar revealed such information as how, when, and where ICE conducts raids.

It also claimed that ICE agents “use ‘ruses’ to mislead or lie about who they are” and “may pretend to be local police.”

The webinar also insisted that illegals and other immigrants don’t have to produce documents for ICE agents, and that illegals “have a right to refuse to give [their] fingerprints.” That advice is false. Criminal suspects cannot refuse fingerprinting.

There’s more, but that’s the gist of it.

Last week, Libs of TikTok posted video of the congresswoman’s own advice to illegals and their open-borders supporters.

“Principle No. 1 in what you can do” she said, “is that, when one of these things comes to your backyard, you can resist.” If millions of people resist, “they cannot go as fast as they want to go.”

Ocasio-Cortez said illegals must know their rights, and fully supported the rebellion and insurrection incited in Chicago to stop ICE agents from enforcing the law.

“You are able to tell them no, and they do walk away,” she said. “What you can do is protect people around you and also make sure that you are slowing down this system.”

For the record, Ocasio-Cortez was not a practicing lawyer before she entered Congress. She was a bartender. Illegals take her advice at their own risk.

Homan: AOC Could Be in “Trouble”

Speaking to Ingraham, Homan explained that the congresswoman might be obstructing federal law enforcement.

“I sent an email today to the deputy attorney general [asking,] ‘At what level is that impedement?'” Homan said:

Is that impedement? I’m not an attorney, I’m not a prosecutor. Is that impedement? Is that impeding our law enforcing efforts? If so, what are we going to do about it? Is she crossing the line?

Homan said he’s working with the Justice Department and needs Emil Bove, the deputy attorney general who threatened to prosecute sanctuary-city officials, to find out “where is that line?”

“So maybe AOC’s going to be in trouble now.… Impedement is impedement in my opinion.”

Homan threatened, “If we have to take every federal dollar out of the city, we’ll do it.”

“We’re done,” he told Ingraham.

Ocasio-Cortez replied on X with ridicule.

“MaYbe shE’s goiNg to be in TroUble nOw,” she wrote. “Maybe he can learn to read. The Constitution would be a good place to start.”

Again, Ocasio-Cortez is not a lawyer and not a constitutional scholar. She can, one might assume, make a righteous martini.

Jayapal and Murphy

As for other subversives on Capitol Hill, on December 1, 2018, Jayapal confessed on X to her role in importing refugees, a possible violation of 8 U.S. Code 1324.

“I was able to successfully assist 5 asylum seekers — 2 unaccompanied minors, a mother and her 9 year old child, and a young man with a serious medical condition — into the United States,” she wrote:

Initially they were denied, in violation of U.S. and international law, but I was able to intervene and ensure that they could simply present themselves for asylum in the United States.

Jayapal did not explain why they were denied, or how they entered the country. Federal immigration law requires asylees to present themselves at a port of entry. Entering the country illegally is a crime, and those illegals are subject to detention and deportation, as Homan once famously explained to Ocasio-Cortez.

A third member of Congress to help illegals into the country was former Representative Beto O’Rourke of Texas. His campaign staffers used campaign money in the effort.

During an interview on February 1, New Jersey’s Murphy seemed to confess to harboring an illegal alien.

“There’s someone in our broader universe whose immigration status is not yet at the point that they are trying to get it to,” Murphy said. “And we said, ‘you know what, let’s have her live at our house above our garage.’ And good luck to the feds coming in to try to get her.”

“The governor’s pretty foolish saying what he said, because I got note of it, won’t let it go, we’ll look into it,” Homan told Fox talker Sean Hannity:

If he’s knowingly harboring and concealing an illegal alien, that’s a violation of Title 8, United States Code 1324. I will seek prosecution, or the secretary will seek prosecution. Maybe he’s bluffing. If he’s not, we’ll deal with that.

Murphy later told the New York Post that his comment was misinterpreted. In fact, he said, he was harboring a legal resident who worried about President Donald Trump’s returning to the White House.
