In September, when a 12,000-strong army of Haitian illegal aliens massed at the border with Mexico and began invading the country, border agents on horseback tried to stop them.
When leftists circulated photos that supposedly depicted the mounted agents whipping the illegals, top Democrats joined a deranged chorus of open-borders subversives in denouncing the agents. Among the voices who incited and convicted the agents were President Joe Biden and his information minister, Jen Psaki, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, and, of course, Cuban visa fraudster and Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas.
Within hours, though, the photos were proven false. The agents whipped no one. The agents don’t use whips. And they did not use their reins as whips.
Nonetheless, Mayorkas promised a probe. Now, though the probe has cleared the agents of criminal wrongdoing, DHS has not announced that fact. And the agents might still face dismissal for “violating policies.”
So Biden and his spear-carriers are still searching for a way to punish the agents. The reason? Stopping illegal aliens at the border frustrates Biden’s plans to bring in new Democrat voters and replace the American people.
We Don’t Know Nothin’
The latest on the ridiculous “investigation” surfaced on April 1 in a little-noticed report in The Daily Caller.
Brandon Judd, head of the National Border Patrol council, told the website that the “investigation” cleared the agents.
Then again, from what Judd said, the “investigation” didn’t amount to much.
“The only reason that we know that they were cleared is because OPR [Office of Professional Responsibility] started their investigation and they compelled them to give a statement,” he said:
“Once you compel somebody to give a statement, you can’t take criminal action against them.”
The Department of Homeland Security (DHS), nor Customs and Border Protection (CBP) confirmed Judd’s statement.
“We will share the results of the investigation once it is complete and provide updates, as available, consistent with the need to protect the integrity of the investigation and individuals’ privacy,” a DHS spokesperson told the DCNF, providing a link to a November press release that was last updated in January, stating that the DHS inspector general declined to conduct the investigation and handed it over to CBP’s Office of Professional Responsibility (OPR).
In other words, DHS can’t say the agents are “cleared” if Biden, Mayorkas, and their gang can find another way to shaft them — again, for doing their jobs. That means, as Judd told the Caller, that Biden’s gumshoes are desperately combing DHS policy manuals to find another way to punish the agents.
“If they find that there’s policy violations, they could ultimately be terminated, but there’s no criminal proceedings,” Judd explained.
The Whipping That Wasn’t
The agents landed in hot water when leftists circulated photos and lied about what the images depicted.
“Border patrol is mounted on horseback rounding up Haitian refugees with whips,” tweeted Sawyer Hackett, a hack for failed Democrat presidential candidate Julian Castro. “This is unfathomable cruelty towards people fleeing disaster and political ruin. The administration must stop this.”
The truth surfaced almost immediately. The agents had done nothing wrong — except perhaps, impede The Great Replacement for a few minutes.
Nonetheless, Mayorkas mounted up to lead the leftist posse. “@DHSgov directed an immediate investigation of the events that were captured in the photographs & on video,” he tweeted:
We need this resolved swiftly. I anticipate that the results of the investigation will be available by the end of next week & I’ve committed to making the results public.
The “end of next week” would have been about September 28. Not November, when DHS offered an “update.” And certainly not in April, when the Caller published Judd’s comments.
That aside, Mayorkas convicted the agents without the investigation even having begun. The same Twitter thread included this ominous line:
We do not condone, we do not tolerate any mistreatment of any migrant. The actions we’re taking are swift and strong, and we will take further action as the facts adduced in the investigation compel.
Mayorkas also denounced the agents in testimony before the U.S. House Homeland Security Committee.
The agents “do not reflect who we are as a country nor do they reflect who the United States Custom and Border Protection is,” the leftist Cuban immigrant said.
Prediction: Mayorkas will find some “policy violation” to pink-slip the agents as a warning to the rest of the Border Patrol: “We’re electing a new people. We’re importing new voters. Get in the way, and you’ll lose your job.”
After the non-whipping, Mayorkas imported the 12,000 Haitian illegals.
