U.S. border agents apprehended or encountered more than 150,000 illegal aliens in January, a figure that is almost double the number from January 2021.
But more worrisome — and in keeping with Biden’s policy to flood the country with illegals — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) freed almost 41 percent of them to disappear forever into the heartland.
The latest total from federal court documents shows the number of illegals apprehended in fiscal 2022, which began October 1, to almost 700,000, and the number since Biden’s first full month in office to more than two million.
But again, as The New American has reported, the ever-rising tide of illegals crashing into the border with Mexico is not a sign of Biden’s “incompetence.” He and his Homeland Security chief, Alejandro Mayorkas, are purposely importing as many illegals as they can.
Mayorkas has repeatedly said he will not deport illegal aliens, and it is known he is releasing them into the country.
Border Uncontrolled
CBP has not released the latest figures at its website. Instead, they appear in court filings pursuant to a judge’s order that commanded the administration to reinstate President Trump’s Migrant Protection Protocols (MPP) known as “Remain in Mexico.” That policy requires illegals to stay south of the border while immigration officials consider their asylum applications, 90 percent of which are bogus.
Biden and Mayorkas ditched the policy in June, but Texas successfully sued to stop the subversion.
The order was clear: The administration was to reinstate MPP and obey the law.
As they have since Biden took office, the numbers suggest a planned invasion to submerge the country with so many illegals they cannot be deported.
In January, border agents caught 153,941 jumping the border or landing at ports of entry. The hardest hit border sectors are Del Rio, Texas (30,773), El Paso, Texas (30,180), and Yuma, Arizona (23,489).
In 2021, January’s figure was 78,414.

Again, CBP and ICE freed 40.6 percent of the penniless horde — 62,573 — to roam free in the heartland.

Such is the deluge one wonders whether anyone is left living in Central America.
Since October, agents have caught or encountered 672,301 illegals. If that pace continues, more than 1.8 million will cross by September 30, the fiscal year’s end. In fiscal 2021, the figure was more than 1.7 million, a 278.7 percent increase over 2020’s 458,088 and the highest number ever.
CBP and ICE have released 263,657 illegals so far this fiscal year — that’s about 39.2 percent of the total apprehended. Those releases involve secret flights that deposit illegals into the heartland without the knowledge of state or local officials.
Since February last year, the first full month of Biden’s presidency, agents have handled 2,110,537 illegals.
[wpmfpdf id=”208636″ embed=”1″ target=””]Of those arrested so far this fiscal year, 2,424 are known criminals, with 19 convictions for homicide or manslaughter and 75 convictions for sex crimes.
No Deportations
In January, Mayorkas again announced that illegal presence in the country is not grounds for deportation.
“Unlawful presence in the United States will alone not be a basis for an immigration enforcement action but rather, we will allocate our efforts, we will allocate our resources on those individuals who present a current public safety threat, a threat to national security, or a threat to our border security, and that is a very important principle,” he told a gathering at the U.S. Conference of Mayors.
Not deporting illegals violates U.S. law, which requires all illegals to be detained until their cases are decided.
Biden and Mayorkas don’t care about the law. They care about political power, which is what the invading masses of Central America offer because they will overwhelmingly vote for Democrats.
