France is saving Mother Earth by banning domestic short-haul flights.
The country’s Minister of Transportation, Clement Beaune, says this will help combat climate change by cutting carbon emissions.
The initiative came into force on May 23 and affects any flights that can be substituted with a journey by train of less than two-and-a-half hours.
Agenda 2030
Reports say that this makes France the first country in the world to restrict its own citizens’ movement under the guise of “sustainable development,” the United Nations’ Orwellian catchphrase that actually means tyrannical government control. Published by the UN as “Agenda 2030,” it is a “comprehensive blueprint for the reorganization of human society,” as officials at the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, dubbed it. Known at the time as Agenda 21, 50,000 delegates, including then-President George Bush, signed on. The UN-approved book Agenda 21: The Earth Summit Strategy to Save Our Planet, explained that “effective execution of Agenda 21 will require a profound reorientation of all human society, unlike anything the world has ever experienced.”
Those words should send up red flags in our post-Covid world. They also reveal that things didn’t just start getting bad in 2020. In fact, radical environmentalists have for decades been using fear of supposed man-man climate change to convince Americans to give up their rights.
Modern radicals are up to the same shenanigans, blaming industrialized society for mankind’s supposed woes and using climate change as an excuse for insane plans to supposedly reduce everyone’s “carbon footprint.” And they’re getting bolder, admitting their goals and couching them in terms such as the “Great Reset” and “Net Zero.”
France’s Flight Ban
Knowing these anti-freedom, long-range plans of Deep State globalists, Marc Morano of Climate Depot issued this comment on France’s ban:
You were warned! This is what a climate lockdown looks like. This is what the Great Reset looks like. The climate agenda demands you give up airline travel, car travel, cheap reliable energy, and plentiful food. Net Zero goals are now dictating vehicle shortages to force more people into mass transit. They’re going after your freedom of movement; they’re going after private car ownership, they’re going after everything it means to be a free person and turning it over to the administrative state.
Travel bans are a main component of this dystopian collectivist vision. Morano warned Tucker Carlson specifically about travel bans back in 2021:
In my book Green Fraud I detailed two chapters on this, Tucker. This is, the climate activists were first of all jealous when the Covid lockdowns happened. They were beside themselves, saying, “How is this happening?” Everyone from Greta Thunberg to John Kerry, UN officials. And then they started saying, “We need to follow this. If we can shut down for a virus, we can shut down for climate.” And that’s what we’re seeing. There’s even academics in Australia proposing adding climate change to death certificates. And Bill Gates has said the death toll will be greater. So they’re following every step of the way, and it’s not just, you know, a professor here, or someone in academia. We have a major U.K. report coming out, we have an international agency report that came out calling for essentially the same type of lockdowns — everything from restrictions on your thermostat to restrictions [on] moving. You can only fly in a climate emergency, one that’s “morally justifiable.” You know, kinda like a lockdown, you have to justify going to the store for essential services. They’re going after freedom of movement. They’re going after private car ownership. They’re going after everything it means to be a free person and turning it over to the administrative state.
But don’t take Morano’s word for it. Beaune admits intending to spread the ban beyond France’s borders. In an interview with Le Parisien, he said “that the EU must act as one on this matter to ensure that all ‘have the same rules and impact is maximized.'” He also announced plans to promote the agenda at October’s meeting of European transportation ministers.
They’re already praising France and talking about imposing the same draconian measures in the U.K., as evidenced in the video below:
Think it won’t happen here, too? Listen to what our president said about the topic when he was president-elect in 2020, and keep in mind that he was making these comments in the midst of Covid lockdowns:
Today I’m pleased to announce a team that will lead my administration’s ambitious plan to address the existential threat of our time: climate change. Folks, we’re in a crisis. Just like we need to be a unified nation in response to Covid-19, we need a unified national response to climate change. And from this crisis, from these crises I should say, we need to seize the opportunity to build back and build back better than we were before.
Maybe it’s just me, but this “unified response” solution seems scripted. Will we continue tolerating infringement of our constitutionally protected rights until none is left? It is up to all Americans to stand against such violations, or we will have a heavy price to pay.
