Senator Kamala Harris (D-Calif.; shown), a leader in the character assassination against U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh, has admitted that the fight over federal judge is about abortion.
The truth surfaced in a tweet and on her web page, which Sen. Tom Cotton retweeted this morning, noting that Harris, like Hawaii’s Sen. Mazie Hirono, is trying to make money on the political hit job.
A few weeks ago, Harris, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, retailed the lie that Kavanaugh believes all birth control induced abortions, and therefore was an enemy of women everywhere.

Now She Tells Us
But at least she’s telling the truth now.
“Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court is a direct threat to Roe v. Wade and protecting a woman’s right to choose,” she tweeted. “The American people deserve better than this. Sign our petition if you agree.”
Says the petition at her campaign website: “Oppose Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court by adding your name.”
Kavanaugh, you see, is the enemy of women:
Brett Kavanaugh represents a fundamental threat to the promise of justice and equality, which is why I am announcing that I will oppose his nomination to the Supreme Court.
Add your name to my petition opposing Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court. He is too extreme and will shift the balance of the court for a generation.
Replied Cotton, “@kamalaharris is fundraising of the Democrats’ shameful character assassination of Judge Kavanaugh, if you had any doubt of their disgraceful conduct from beginning to end.”
Earlier Disgraceful Conduct
Harris’ earlier lie brazenly attempted to contort Kavanaugh’s testimony about this dissent in a case related to Obamacare’s contraception mandate.
Answering a question from Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Kavanaugh stated that the group opposed the mandate because some of the contraceptives, they argued, were abortifacient; i.e., they do not contracept but instead cause an abortion. Kavanaugh was detailing an argument before his court, not his own opinion.
A pro-abortion Twitter mob quickly organized a Two Minutes Hate, tweeting the lie that Kavanaugh actually believes all contraceptives cause abortion, despite knowing that someone of Kavanaugh’s intelligence doesn’t believe any such thing.
Tweeted Sen. Elizabeth Warren, “Newsflash, Brett Kavanaugh: Contraception is NOT abortion. Anyone who says so is peddling extremist ideology — not science — and has no business sitting on the Supreme Court.”
NARAL tweeted, “Kavanaugh just referred to birth control as ‘abortion-inducing drugs,’ which is not only an anti-science lie, it’s an anti-choice extremist phrase that shows that our right to access both abortion and contraception would be in SERIOUS danger if he is confirmed.”
And Planned Parenthood offered this: “#Kavanaugh just called birth control ‘abortion-inducing drugs.’”
Harris quickly joined the torch-bearing fanatics, tweeting a doctored video of Kavanaugh’s answer, cutting out the words “they said” to misportray the judge’s words. Then she added this preposterous comment:
Kavanaugh chooses his words very carefully, and this is a dog whistle for going after birth control. He was nominated for the purpose of taking away a woman’s constitutionally protected right to make her own health care decisions. Make no mistake — this is about punishing women.
Called on the lie, Harris stood by it.
The liberal Washington Post gave Harris four Pinocchios.
The pro-abortion extremists who oppose Kavanaugh have repeatedly distorted his testimony and other public comments. Warren, who had joined the lie about contraceptives, tried to smear Kavanaugh with another doctored video.
It purported to show Kavanaugh’s using a code, during a speech at Catholic University, to admit the outrageous claim of Christine Blasey Ford.
After Kavanaugh survived those smears, and appeared headed for confirmation, they fired a kill shot. They pulled out the attempted rape charge from Chrstine Blasey Ford, whose claims ranking minority member Dianne Feinstein knew about since July.
Hirono Caught
But Harris isn’t the only Democrat who has tried raising money on the character assassination of Kavanaugh.
Hawaii’s Hirono was caught dunking for dough the other day — 30 minutes into Thursday’s hearing at which Ford and Kavanaugh testified.
After CNN’s reporter covering First Lady Melania Trump, Kate Bennett, divulged the greedy grab for money, Hirono’s rainmakers weakly apologized, claiming that the appeal was erroneously released.
Hirono made other headlines lately for telling men they have to “shut up,” and that Kavanaugh is guilty until proven innocent.
Asked by CNN’s Jake Tapper whether Kavanaugh deserved the presumption of innocence, Hirono refused to answer.
