Charlamagne: De-MAGAfication Will Happen Post-Trump — Like Post-WWII De-Nazification Did
If you’re unsure if President Donald Trump and those supporting “America first” are “just like the Nazis,” wonder no more. No less an intellect than radio host Lenard Larry McKelvey — aka “Charlamagne tha God” — has weighed in. The verdict?
Trump and his supporters aren’t merely just like Nazis, McKelvey strongly implied. They will also be subject to a de-MAGAfication campaign post-Trump — just as there was a de-Nazification effort after WWII. And this will include prosecutions of Trump officials (and maybe even supporters).
Whether this means Charlamagne tha Godless, as critics may call him, believes we’re currently in a WWIII kind of cold civil war was not reported. What’s for certain, however, is that while McKelvey is not a serious person, his warning is a serious threat.
Reality: As a Bernie Sanders campaign worker expressed years ago, many American left-wingers want to destroy their political opponents.
Moreover, when and if they do, they’ll just be carrying on a leftist tradition dating back to the 18th century.
Get Them There Nazis
Charlamagne, 47, made his now-viral comments on the Monday edition of his radio show The Breakfast Club. “I’m goin’ to tell y’all something, America,” he began. He then done told:
I don’t know how dark or how bad things are going to get … but I keep hearing people referencing 1940s Germany…. But I want y’all to remember something when you’re bringin’ up that history…. The Nazis ultimately lost…. Nazi ideology was outlawed through de-Nazification. One day we will see the de-MAGAficiation of this country; it will come. And you know what else happened? Leaders of the Nazi regime were prosecuted and tried as war criminals.
(Video below.)
Not surprisingly, tha Godless’ comments evoked some strong reactions — not all complimentary. A good example follows.
This isn’t the first time, however, that McKelvey endorsed an equivalent of de-Nazification to advance a political cause. In 2021, he called for “de-crackerfication,” using the derogatory, n-word equivalent for white people, “cracker.” (This is socially acceptable, apparently.) Charlamagne urged that America’s “racism” be confronted through education, shame, youth involvement, and, of course, reparations.
On a comical note, McKelvey referenced the German compound word (a redundancy, I know) vergangenheitsaufarbeitung, best translated as “historical reckoning.” He confessed inability to pronounce it, and then did come off with a good line. “[W]hite people made that word complicated on purpose,” Charlamagne quipped, “because we can’t ask for what we can’t pronounce, okay?”
Ironically, though, this may explain why he never finds Truth.
He can’t pronounce that word, either!
That is, when opening that 2021 segment he stated, “Hey, welcome back to “Tha God’s Honest Troof.”
The Troof, as Charlamagne Sees It, Would Not Set MAGA Free
Unfortunately, what McKelvey is currently calling for is no joke, nor is he alone in his desires. For example, ex-CNN anchor Jim Acosta and hard-left podcaster Jennifer Welch recently advocated mass prosecutions of Trump, Elon Musk, and associated “bottom-feeding morons.” And what would anything paralleling de-Nazification look like? The UK’s International Business Times explained this today:
The comparison Charlamagne drew isn’t just rhetorical. After Germany surrendered in 1945, the Allies launched a sweeping programme to root out Nazi influence at every level of society. They banned the Nazi Party outright through Control Council Law No. 2, tore swastikas off public buildings, and purged more than 30,000 book titles from libraries. Millions of copies were destroyed. Regime leaders faced trial at Nuremberg, with many executed or imprisoned for war crimes….
Ordinary Germans didn’t escape scrutiny either. Civilian tribunals sorted the population into five categories based on their involvement with the regime, ranging from ‘Major Offenders’ down to ‘Persons Exonerated.’ Those found culpable faced prison, fines, or bans from public employment.
Of course, “cancel culture,” which will return with a vengeance if the Democrats regain power, has long approximated the latter.
Now, it’s easy dismissing Acosta’s and Charlamagne’s rhetoric as just that. Lust for political power can inspire loose use of fighting words. Yet the bottom line is that demonizing people as “Nazis” for years has an effect. Just witness the leftists who’ve departed America, exhibit fevered TDS, or who protest riotously and attack ICE agents. What might you do if you truly believed Nazis were taking over your country? What would be justifiable? “Desperate times call for desperate measures,” right?
The Authors of Truly Desperate Times
As mentioned earlier, though, a leftist ideological pogrom would just be par for the course. In fact, this behavior attended leftism’s very birth in 1789, during the French Revolution.
Back then, those seated on the revolutionary national assembly’s left side — “progressives,” roughly speaking — would become known as leftists. (The conservatives, roughly speaking, were seated on the right and became known as rightists.) And though revolution author Maximilien Robespierre, a radical democrat, opposed capital punishment when seeking power, this changed.
Upon attaining control, he and his henchmen authored the notorious “Reign of Terror,” murdering 16,000-17,000 people. That was how “leftism” announced itself to the world.
It only got worse from there, too. The Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) exterminated up to 60 million innocents during its 69-year history. The Chinese Communist Party has murdered up to 80 million people between 1949 and today. And the communist Khmer Rouge wiped out up to 25 percent of Cambodia’s population in just four years (1975-’79).
There are other dishonorable mentions, too (e.g., North Korea, Cuba), but these left-wing regimes tend to have something in common. They kill those opposing them, citizens they deem oppressors.
Do you suppose this pattern will suddenly change with tomorrow’s totally empowered leftists?
If still unsure, just ask a 2020 Bernie Sanders campaign organizer named Kyle Jurek. He was caught on video back then expressing his wishes for his political opponents. Goals included putting them in gulags, setting them afire, and lining them up against a wall and shooting them.
Oh, Jurek also stated that Sanders’ socialist campaign was replete withpeople of his mind.
Don’t be surprised, either. For whether 1789, 1917, 2026, or some future date, things are ever and always the same with tha Godless leftists.
