The world’s foremost carbon-credit salesman, former vice-president Al Gore, made his appearance at the 54th annual meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos, Switzerland. The jet-setting climate crusader had good news for the world, so long as we give up our way of life and submit to the radical Left’s vision of “net zero” emissions from fossil fuels.

Gore has become a multimillionaire by terrifying the world’s children with his authoritative-sounding but scientifically specious film An Inconvenient Truth, then pivoting to sell environmentally pointless carbon offsets. These “offsets,” also known as “credits,” allow the wealthy and corporations to claim that they are living a “carbon neutral” lifestyle while doing nothing to live in an actual “carbon neutral” manner. So, in reality, it’s a protection racket, making Gore and other sellers of “carbon offsets” essentially blackmailers.

Nevertheless, the globalist power-brokers at the WEF like to hear from Gore at their annual meeting, and Gore generally obliges them despite his propensity to use carbon-spewing private jets for transportation.

At this year’s meeting, Gore asserted, “The good news is that once we get to true net zero and stop adding, the temperatures will stop going up almost immediately, with a lag of as little as three years.”

“And if we stay at true net zero half of the human cause to greenhouse gas pollution will fall out of the atmosphere in as little as 25 to 30 years, but getting there is very tough,” Gore added.

Gore also thanked outgoing climate czar John Kerry for his beating of the climate crisis drum.

“I want to thank my friend John Kerry for his terrific service to the U.S. And I think people around the world owe him a debt of gratitude for his tireless work.”

The utter lie of Gore’s latest prediction and his praise of the secretive Kerry is bad enough, but consider the ramifications should the globalist movers and shakers actually believe the former vice-president. They might attempt to make the unrealistic notion of “net zero” emissions actually happen. This would be a disaster and completely change life as we’ve come to know it.

“As Davos is meeting, they hear things like today when Al Gore said if they meet these political targets of Net Zero, which are going to impact businesses, the temperature will stop going up almost immediately,” said Climate Depot’s Marc Morano. “He’s saying in three years we will be able to see an effect. So if businesses believe, you can pass a tax or regulation and stop the earth’s rotation or climate change or the earth’s temperature. That is a pretty big regulatory uncertainty because ideologies at the World Economic Forum will enforce those kinds of regulations on business if they actually believe they can stop temperatures from rising in three years or less.”

“It’s pretty scary stuff.” Morano concluded.

Also, consider what might happen should the world achieve net zero and the temperatures don’t stabilize but continue to go up. Which CO2 emitters would be targeted next?

In the days prior to the Davos meeting, Gore was sounding the alarm that some countries — Gore didn’t name which countries — may be attempting to shirk the climate responsibilities that they agreed to at the recent COP28 summit in Dubai. Specifically, Gore was referencing an agreement to accelerate the removal of fossil fuels from their energy systems.

“Some of those who signed on to that pledge are now trying to claim it was optional and trying to walk it back a little bit,” Gore complained to Bloomberg. “There are so many loopholes and so many tricky phrases.”

Gore, who knows all about “tricky phrases,” is concerned that some nations will consider the reduction of fossil fuels a choice rather than an obligation.

“All of that language enabled everybody to believe that all of these eight items are choices,” Gore grumbled. “What we have achieved are choices that people can pick based on their nationally determined circumstances and, of course, pathways and approaches of their own choice.”

Seems like a pretty big waste of the COP process, especially when you consider all of the carbon-spewing jet travel that was involved.

Gore’s act must be growing old, even for climate hysterics. His obvious hypocrisy when it comes to the issue, his profiteering, and his litany of failed climate predictions should be enough to get him laughed off the stage — even at Davos.

But the climate cult loves its liars, and Al Gore is one of their favorites.
