A top leftist media personality called for “cleansing” the country of President Donald Trump’s supporters in a now-deleted tweet.

What appeared to be an open call for violence against Trump voters and supporters came from ABC’s political director, Rick Klein.

Klein deleted the tweet. But Breitbart’s John Nolte captured its suggestion that sounded similar to the not-so-veiled threats from supporters of socialist Senator Bernie Sanders during the Democrat primaries. Trump supporters and even moderates and liberals will be rounded up and executed.

The Tweet

A fey-looking fellow whose non-threatening mien is perfect for appearances with the ladies on The View, Klein published the tweet a day after mostly peaceful protestors stormed the U.S. Capitol to register their displeasure at Congress’ certifying the fraudulent election of Democrat Joe Biden.

“Klein appeared to deliberately wield Stalinist eliminationist rhetoric as a means to increase tensions and divisions even more,” Nolte observed.

“Trump will be an ex-president in 13 days. The fact is that getting rid of Trump is the easy part,” wrote the man who directs a major network’s political desk:

Cleansing the movement he commands, or getting rid of what he represents to so many Americans, is going to be something else.

Back in June, President Donald Trump tweeted that he wanted anyone who “vandalizes or destroys any monument, statue or other such Federal property” to face punishment up to “10 years in prison.”

Of course, then he was threatening those in the streets protesting police violence and racial inequities with whom he disagreed.

Like most leftists, Klein apparently didn’t post similar tweets when the BLM-Antifa Axis of Evil was destroying American cities through the summer. Certainly, we would have heard. ABC would have forced him to delete them, if not fired him for bucking the “mostly-peaceful protesters” narrative.

Nolte rightly observed that Klein seemed particularly incensed that Wednesday’s protesters showed up at the “most famous and important symbol of democracy in the world.”

Maybe, but “apparently, Klein is more concerned with a federal building as opposed to the countless small businesses that have been destroyed all across the country by left-wing terrorists, who are still engaged in a campaign of hate and violence that has been going on for almost a year now. The U.S. Capitol will recover. Many of these small business owners never will.”

As The New American reported yesterday, the leftist politicians Klein supports have never suggested even stopping the BLM-Antifa Axis of Evil that has terrorized Americans and destroyed their property in one city after another. Denouncing them is out of the question.

Indeed, Vice President-elect Kamala Harris encouraged the destructive riots. So did Representative Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.). In 2018, Representative Maxine Waters (D-Calif.) openly called for her shock troops to harass Trump supporters.

That, of course, is what leftists have been doing for years. In August, unhinged protestors assaulted Senator Rand Paul and others as they departed the White House after President Trump’s closing remarks at the Republican National Convention.

Top Democrats and the media were unimpressed.

Not surprisingly, Klein deleted the tweet, but too late. His policy proposal to “cleanse” the country of Trump supporters went viral.

But Cuomo Said Protests Needn’t Be Peaceful

Then again, in June, after BLM-Antifa terrorists set Washington, D.C., ablaze, CNN’s Chris Cuomo said protests needn’t and shouldn’t be peaceful.

“Too many see the protests as the problem,” he said as rioters burned and looted after George Floyd died of a drug overdose while police restrained him. “No, the problem is what forced your fellow citizens to take to the streets: persistent and poisonous inequities and injustice.”

Continued the man called Fredo:

And please, show me where it says that protests are supposed to be polite and peaceful. Because I can show you that outraged citizens are what made the country what she is and led to any major milestone. To be honest, this is not a tranquil time.
