Uncommon Earth

In the June 18 issue of The New American (“International Scientific Conference Deems Evolution a ‘Hoax’”), Alex Newman wrote: “Far from being a common, insignificant speck, then, the Earth is ‘a very special planet in a very special place.’”

It is in a very special place, indeed. In fact, the latest satellite data pertaining to the universe’s Cosmic Microwave Background (CMB) radiation shows that the Earth is at the very center of the universe. Professor Lawrence M. Krauss, who is a theoretical physicist at Arizona State University, stated the following in an interview with Edge.org on July 5, 2006: “When you look at [the] CMB map, you also see that the structure that is observed is in fact, in a weird way, correlated with the plane of the earth around the sun. Is this Copernicus coming back to haunt us? That’s crazy. We’re looking out at the whole universe. There’s no way there should be a correlation of structure with our motion of the earth around the sun — the plane of the earth around the sun — the ecliptic. That would say we are truly the center of the universe.”
