The UN’s Climate Onslaught
If you thought you were going to get a break from the orgy of environmental hysteria when the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) Summit concluded last month, think again. That series of confabs was only the windup, warmup, and setup for a sustained and escalating binge of fright-peddling, hand-wringing, guilt-tripping, and mega-panhandling scheduled to run through the end of the year. The culmination will be the Climate Summit to be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, from November 30 through December 12. The Biden administration has already given us an inkling of what is to come with its shutting down of coal, oil, and gas production and its regulatory war on gas stoves, washing machines, dishwashers, ceiling fans, water heaters, and refrigerators.
But that’s small stuff compared to the UN’s grand schemes that will bloom in the Dubai desert. Formally known as the 28th Conference of the Parties (COP28) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), the Dubai affair is a continuation of the annual climate-summit process that was launched in 1992 at the UN Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. For the past three decades, the global-warming catastrophe choir has been amping up the ever-more-dire headlines about the supposed planetary doom posed by our collective carbon footprints. What to do about this “existential crisis”? Simple: Give national governments and global government (the UN and its agencies) unlimited regulatory power over every aspect of our lives, along with unlimited taxing and spending authority.
What do we make of the Climate Change/Sustainable Development propaganda blitz rolled out at the UN by the globalists and their media allies during the week of September 18 to 23? And what do the goings-on there mean for the upcoming Dubai summit? Well, let’s take a closer look at the blurry flurry of activity at the daisy chain of events aimed at building crucial support for the “complete transformation” of the world.
