The SAFER Voter Act
A Constitutional Imperative to Restore the Right of Young Adults to Keep and Bear Arms
What kind of republic tells an 18-year-old he is old enough to vote, to fight and die for his country, to sign binding contracts, to get married and raise a family — but not to purchase a handgun to defend himself or his family?
That’s not a constitutional republic. That’s a bureaucratic monstrosity with no regard for the Constitution, for liberty, or for the dignity of adulthood.
Thankfully, Representative Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) is once again standing athwart tyranny and shouting, “No!” Massie has reintroduced H.R. 1643, the Second Amendment for Every Registrable (SAFER) Voter Act. The measure would repeal the unconstitutional federal law that prohibits 18-, 19-, and 20-year-olds from purchasing handguns from a federally licensed firearms dealer.
