They have “lived a nightmare” since 2021, when their participation in the January 6 “Stop the Steal” rally in Washington, D.C., earned them unusually harsh prison sentences.

The lives of Kelly Meggs and Robert Morss intersected that day. They met in the D.C. jail where many other J6ers were held, like them, for lengthy periods without trial. However, One Question Remains: Your Move is the product of Meggs’ and Morss’ post-sentencing time as cellmates in Philadelphia’s Federal Detention Center. Meggs calls his solo book Fight, Fight, Fight!, a sequel to One Question Remains inspired by the words that then-presidential candidate Donald Trump shouted to a MAGA crowd in Pennsylvania last July after an assassin’s bullet grazed his ear. Meggs composed the second book from his cell in the federal prison in Memphis, Tennessee, where he served a third of his 12-year sentence before it was commuted by President Trump on January 21.

These books weave the tale of their personal tragedy amid a years-long and disgraceful miscarriage of justice that has devastated the lives of countless patriotic Americans and their families. Nevertheless, if you’re looking for a sob story, you’ll be disappointed. Meggs and Morss exude the same undaunted spirit that has become the hallmark of J6 defendants.
