The Goodness of America

Dreams Delivered by Chick-fil-A

Two decades ago, Bill and Becky of Houston, Texas, started an ambitious journey to visit every state capital across the United States. Their adventures took them far and wide, but after Bill was diagnosed with terminal cancer, he and his wife of 50 years were unable to reach their final goal: Juneau, Alaska. However, the staff at their local Chick-fil-A at Springwoods Village found a meaningful way to help them complete their journey.

Knowing how important this bucket-list goal was to Bill and Becky, the Chick-fil-A team contacted the Alaska State Capitol. In a heartwarming collaboration, the Capitol staff eagerly joined in, helping to virtually bring Alaska to the couple.

In a surprise moment, the Chick-fil-A staff presented Bill and Becky with a scrapbook filled with photos from the Alaska State Capitol, along with souvenirs as keepsakes for their virtual visit. The souvenirs included a custom drawing of Bill and Becky in front of Alaska’s stunning Mendenhall Glacier, ensuring that their long-held dream came to life, even if they couldn’t physically travel there.
