The Goodness of America

Runaway Stroller

When a gust of wind pushed a baby stroller toward a busy street in Hesperia, California, on May 1, a good Samaritan named Ron Nessman sprang into action and saved the child.

The child’s great aunt was preparing to place the baby in a car seat in her vehicle when the gusty desert winds blew the stroller toward Bear Valley Road, where cars sped by at 40 miles per hour. The aunt attempted to chase after the stroller, but fell to the ground and struggled to get back on her feet as she helplessly watched the stroller approach the traffic.

Fortunately, Nessman was nearby, standing outside of a car wash after having just finished a job interview, when he witnessed the incident.
