Good Samaritans Intervene to Help Officer

Police Officer Stacee Wright of Willoughby, Ohio, was struggling to apprehend a suspect on September 10 when strangers swooped in to help and prevented a scary situation from potentially turning violent.

When Wright spotted a speeding driver that afternoon, she pulled the male suspect over. Violating protocol, the driver, later identified as David Koubeck, stepped out of the vehicle without being asked and refused to take a seat on the ground when Wright instructed him to do so.

According to local news station WKYC, the situation escalated quickly, with video footage showing the man pointing his finger in Officer Wright’s face and refusing to put his hands behind his back.
