During Oprah Winfrey’s “Unite for America 2024” campaign rally in September, a young Pennsylvania couple identified as Rachel and Garrett asked Vice President Kamala Harris about her plan for lowering the high cost of living. After this characteristically insipid word salad, she promised to target “price gougers” and offer government subsidies to new home buyers. 

“Such an affirmation of Pope Francis is clearly against the divine revelation. It contradicts directly the First Commandment of God which is ever valid — ‘You shall not have other gods beside Me.’ This is so clear, and such a statement contradicts the entire Gospel.”
Speaking with EWTN’s Raymond Arroyo on The World Over, Kazakhstan’s Bishop AthanasiusSchneider criticized the comment Pope Francis made while traveling in Singapore that “Every religion is a way to arrive at God.”

“So, we have to start always with energy. Always. I don’t want to be boring about it, but there’s no bigger subject that covers everything. If you make donuts, if you make cars, whatever you make, energy is a big deal. And we’re going to get that — it’s my ambition to get your energy bill within twelve months down 50 percent…. If I can do that, we’ve done a helluva job…. Interest rates are going to follow.”
During Arkansas Republican Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders’ town hall event in September, a Michigan mother identified as Barbara asked former President Donald Trump about his plan for lowering the high cost of living. Though his statement about the importance of energy was accurate, his answer included nothing about dismantling the bureaucracy or reining the federal government back within its constitutional bounds.
