People may argue about whether taking actions to disarm American civilians is a good thing or not, but two things that cannot be argued are that the Founders never intended to do it, and Barack Obama does.

Barack Obama has assumed to himself the power to restrict the right of Americans to own, buy, sell, trade, and transfer firearms. On January 4, the White House announced that in order to “reduce gun violence and make our communities safer” the president would issue a series of executive orders (“commonsense executive actions,” according to the press release) that would “reform” the gun laws of the United States, making guns — and again, this is inarguable — harder to own.
