Chinese Authorities, Other Countries Mandate COVID Vaccinations
Following China’s draconian mishandling of its COVID-19 response in early 2020, Communist Chinese authorities are now mandating the coronavirus vaccine.
According to a July 15 article in the Wall Street Journal, multiple cities and counties in the provinces of Zhejiang, Fujian, and Jiangxi have mandated that all adults over the age of 18 be fully vaccinated by late August. Starting around late July, most of these areas will also prohibit unvaccinated individuals from entering schools, hospitals, nursing homes, libraries, and other public places.
Although the Chinese central government has not formally mandated COVID vaccinations, several of the local governments stated their own mandates were in response to “national, provincial and municipal arrangements,” suggesting Beijing’s involvement.
