Burglar Breaks In to Judge’s Home
PennLive.com reported on December 30 about a home break-in in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in which a burglar picked the wrong house. A man identified as 36-year-old Charles Henson allegedly tried kicking down the front door of the home of Magisterial District Judge Mikaela Sloan. Witnesses say Henson kept yelling for someone named “J.C.,” who he claimed owed him money. He allegedly kicked open the door and entered the home while continuing to yell threats aimed at “J.C.”
Judge Sloan’s boyfriend was there at the time, and he retrieved a firearm and went to confront the intruder. He yelled to Henson that nobody named “J.C.” lived there, but Henson allegedly continued to advance. In fear for his life and the lives of Judge Sloan’s children, who were asleep in the house, the boyfriend opened fire at Henson, narrowly missing him. Henson fled the home.
Police were soon called to the scene and, after a thorough investigation that included talking to witnesses and reviewing surveillance footage, arrested Henson for burglary and criminal trespassing.
