Daring Rescue

In a remarkable act of bravery, neighbors in Holden, Massachusetts, sprang into action to rescue a man after his car exploded on June 1. The incident was caused by a leak from an acetylene tank stored in the vehicle’s trunk, as confirmed by the state fire marshal’s office.

The Holden fire and police departments were dispatched to the scene and discovered the wreckage of a car that had endured catastrophic damage. Neighbors had already pulled an injured man from beneath the vehicle. “That man was transported to an area hospital with serious injuries,” stated the fire marshal’s office.

Investigations revealed that the acetylene tank had leaked overnight, leading to the explosion. While the exact source of ignition remains undetermined, officials believe the explosion was accidental.
