“I have photos, I have images, I have pictures, I have names of terrorists who actually are already in Europe posting their photos in Europe on Facebook.” So said asylee Dr. Mudar Zahran, a Jordanian Palestinian academic, while expressing opposition to Muslim migration into Europe in 2015. Now there’s the following headline in 2025:
“Germany: Incredible 99% of serious terror cases were foreigners and Islamic extremists.”
Meanwhile, the German powers that be are still talking about banning the anti-immigrationist party Alternative for Germany (AfD). This is a bit like having a population suffering a scurvy epidemic — and talking about banning citrus fruit.
Is Jamie in the Room?
Of course, we’re perhaps supposed to believe the real threat in Europe is cute little 13-year-old native-European boys. (Remember Adolescence?) But as Remix News reported Tuesday:
Despite claims of the alleged grave threat of “right-wing extremism” presented by the media and the political left in Germany, the data tells another story. In the first half of 2025, a staggering 99 percent of new proceedings initiated by the German Federal Prosecutor General targeted Islamist or foreign-related extremism.
… The German Federal Prosecutor General tends to handle high-level cases involving “state security,” and according to the office, “this includes criminal acts of terrorism and espionage, as well as crimes under the German International Criminal Code.”
From Jan. 1 to June 30, 2025, a total of 146 proceedings were opened, reported German media outlet Nius. Of these, 144 had a migration-related background. The extremist perpetrators are mostly Syrians, Iraqis, and Afghans.
Apropos here, the Syrian Civil War served as a pretext for the mass Third World migration into Europe in 2015. And since just mentioned were Syrians, Iraqis, and Afghans, note something Zahran, a self-professed practicing Muslim, said a decade ago. In an October 2015 interview with The Glazov Gang, he essentially warned the West was being conned and stated:
Seventy-five percent of those arriving from Syria come from safe area[s]; actually, the ones in disaster areas cannot … leave. So, actually, as much as there’s a disaster in Syria, most of those people arriving do in fact do not need the protection; they arrive from Turkey, they arrive from Jordan, they arrive from other places which are safe. In addition, those people are … bypassing poor European countries, they’re going to Turkey, Hungary, and other places like Bulgaria and settling in Germany, where there is a rich nation with a generous welfare system.
Demographic Upheaval
Not surprisingly, though, Zahran’s warning was ignored; in fact, while his interview should’ve been front-page news, it was instead buried. The policies he cautioned against were pursued, too. The result?
Germany, a country of 84 million, likely has absorbed 10 to 12 million (im)migrants in total since January 1, 2015. (There surely has been some out-migration as well, do note.) This includes asylum seekers, labor migrants, European Union citizens, and others. And to the point here, two to three million of these newcomers have been Muslim.
Oh, Germany is about the size of Montana.
This small nation has, too, Remix tells us, had 84 investigations involving Islamist terrorism. And “60 cases involved foreign-related extremism,” the site also writes. “In stark contrast, only two cases were initiated for right-wing extremism in the same period.”
And, again, this is just since January 1 of this year.
This is happening even though the Germans had more than Zahran’s words (which they surely didn’t hear) to give them pause. Just consider a comprehensive German study of 45,000 youths that was reported in 2010. It found that with increasing religiosity, Christian youths became less violent. Increasing religiosity among the Muslim youths, however, actually made them more violent. (I explored the reasons for this here.)
The Gift That Keeps on Giving
And, today, German authorities find themselves playing whack-a-mole, the jihadist version. The nation’s intelligence agency (the BfV) informs that the number of individuals identified as dangerous Islamists has risen dramatically. The figure, 550 in 2015, now exceeds 2,000.
“And the hits just keep coming,” commentator Olivia Murray lamented Tuesday. She continued:
I mean, take a look at this story, out today: Saudi national Ahmad A., a “self-proclaimed Islamist” living in Germany, said this about the Magdeburg Christmas Market attack that killed six and wounded hundreds:
Murray then adds:
Interestingly enough, Ahmad happens to be close friends with the man who perpetrated that attack, as they’re both Saudis and both in clinical psychology.
Now, Ahmad decided to go on the record about his true feelings, because the state denied his asylum application; as Ahmad also said, he plans to take “revenge” for the rejection. Yet somehow, the state has yet to track him down and kick his a** back to Saudi Arabia for his repatriation. I can only infer they’re actually waiting for him to act on his words?
Then there’s this headline from last year, “Germany’s Young Muslims: Almost HALF Want Islamic Theocracy; Many Accept Violence.”
There’s this one, too, from this year, “Study: In Germany, Foreign-born Muslim Women Are MORE Violent Than German Men.”
And this reflects why Dr. Zahran said in 2015 that the migrants should be kept out of Europe. In fact, he called the influx “the soft Islamic conquest of the West” — and with good reason. As he also stated in his interview:
I have to be honest, you read Arab magazines and Arab newspapers; they are talking about, “Good job! Now we’re going to conquest [sic] Europe.” So it’s not even a secret.
Anatomy of a Suicide
Of course, such motivations on foreign entities’ part are understandable. But what drives Westerners to not only adopt bad policy, but then double down on it? There are multiple reasons, for sure, but among them is perhaps a psychological one that’s underappreciated.
In medieval Europe, there were Christian religious adherents known as “flagellants” who would whip themselves, sometimes bloody, to demonstrate devotion. (Some Muslims do this today.) They generally believed, too, that the more severely they beat themselves — the more they doubled down — the greater their exhibition of piety.
Now, I’m a man of faith and don’t intend to demean these medieval Christians. Though I think there are better ways to practice self-mortification, I can respect their devotion. But I think their case is vaguely analogous to the immigrationists’ situation, as the latter are involved in value signaling. And when value signaling, the more you double down, the greater the feeling and image of (pseudo)nobility. It’s how you polish up your woke credentials with others — and in your own mind.
Where the analogy breaks down is that the medieval flagellants were whipping only their own backs. In contrast, the immigrationist puppeteers generally don’t live in neighborhoods negatively affected by the policies they push. (See Martha’s Vineyard et al.) So now it perhaps can be said that not only will a liberal give you the shirt off someone else’s back, but the skin off it, too.
Pro tip, though, free of charge: Outsourcing your penance is not supposed to be how it works.
