Gary Benoit interviews election integrity expert Kurt Hyde about his steadfast efforts over several decades to alert Americans about the dangers of vote fraud and about what we can do to restore election integrity. In the first part of this interview, Hyde discusses an article he wrote for The New American magazine way back in 1986 recommending a paper trail for every vote cast, as well as his successful efforts to get such a law passed by the state legislature in New Hampshire. This, of course, was long before concerns about the vulnerabilities of our voting system had gone mainstream, and long before the widespread vote fraud that occurred in the 2020 presidential election. Hyde also discussed other steps that can be taken to safeguard our elections. Those steps, he notes, have been compiled in The New American reprint “Restoring Election Integrity.”
