Litigation groups filed a new lawsuit against Pennsylvania this week for its 2018 directive restricting local election officials from verifying voter eligibility. According to the lawsuit, the secretary of state directed all 67 county election boards to ignore the mandates of the Help America Vote Act requiring election officials to verify the driver’s licenses and social security cards of voters.
