Ponder the following examples of your tax money at work. USAID, the U.S. Agency for International Development, paid almost $2 million to empower “transgender” organizations in Guatemala. It spent about $1.5 million to promote the “LGBTQ+ diversity” agenda in Serbia. It also reportedly allowed at least $151 million in aid money to go to terrorists in Gaza and the West Bank. Here’s what’s even worse, too:
Far from being anomalies, this reflects long-standing USAID abuses.
Moreover, if you want to know why the Left has been so politically and culturally powerful for so long, part of the reason is that entities such as USAID have been funding hard-left causes for decades — again, with money extracted from Americans at, metaphorically speaking, the end of a gun. And wait till you see the short list, farther down below, of the organization’s malevolent use of those funds.
Journalist Todd Starnes introduces the story, writing Saturday:
Elon Musk now estimates our federal government has squandered some $700 billion per year on fraud and more than a trillion dollars on waste. [This is a major reason we’re now $36.4 trillion in debt.]
Right now the main focus of Elon and his DOGE team has been USAID — which has now been revealed as a multi-billion dollar slush fund for left-wing causes. It’s being described as the single largest criminal fraud operation in history.
Let me be clear — USAID was not about feeding the poor and providing them with medicine. It wasn’t about taking care of the least of these.
No, rather, it’s apparently about making the least of these even less — via destructive policy.
Read It and Weep
In fact, some examples of what USAID has used our money on are simultaneously mind-boggling and maddening. According to commentator Andrea Widburg, who provides the short list, the organization
Paid $20 million to the hard-left Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, a 501(c)(3) that manages at least $200 million in annual fund disbursements. Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors, in turn, funded Bill Kristol, a wealthy man whose raison d’etre since 2016 has been to destroy Trump. It also funded myriad organizations pushing leftist ideologies such as BLM, climate change, DEI, illegal immigration, and LGBTQ+. The fund is especially notable for its commitment to destroying Israel.
… Paid $1,999,900 to Asociacion Lambda to strengthen transgender organizations in Guatemala.
Paid $1,499,999 to Grupa Izadiji to advance LGBTQ+ diversity in Serbia.
… Canceled $237 million in contracts for work in Afghanistan but still paid $61 million for work that was not performed and $74 million for work with questionable results.
Paid $70,000 for a DEI musical in Ireland.
Paid $30 million to study HIV in Africa among sex workers, especially so-called “transgender” sex workers. This money seems to have been used for chemically and surgically mutilating mentally ill Africans.
Directly and indirectly funneled $200 million to the Wuhan Institute of Virology, which introduced COVID to the world.
Plus, “In the years since the October 7 attack on Israel, USAID sent around $420 million to the Gazans and West Bankians without any assurance that it would be kept from terrorist organizations, including Hamas. And indeed, much of it went straight to those organizations.”

Paid $2.5 million for electric vehicles for Vietnam, with only one battery station built. When I was in Vietnam in 2017, most people traveled using small scooters.
Paid for a “trans” care clinic in Vietnam.
Paid $25,000 for a “trans” opera in Colombia.
Paid $32,000 for “trans” comic books in Peru.
Paid $500,000 to expand atheism in Nepal.
Paid $6 million to promote tourism to Egypt.
Paid $20 million for an Iraqi version of Sesame Street.
Handed out $4.4 billion to Haiti in 2010, much of it under the aegis of the Clinton Foundation when Hillary was Secretary of State. Almost none of the Clinton Foundation money went to the Haitian people. Bill and Hillary Clinton are estimated to have a net worth of around $120 million.
Funded an Irish event that attacked Catholicism and promoted mass immigration to Ireland.
Paid over $300,000 to BBC’s media action fund. The BBC is a British government entity that receives its funding from a mandatory tax on any UK residents who own televisions. Its annual revenue is £5.389 billion ($665,0295,450).
Paid $27 million for “reintegration gift bags” to illegal aliens being returned to Latin America.
Paid an estimated $300 million to Afghanistan during the Obama years, an unsupervised activity that funded the Taliban.
Funded hundreds of thousands of meals to Syrian al-Qaeda-affiliated fighters.
Moreover, she reports:
Millions have been sent to religious charities to fund resources for illegal immigrants.
Millions have been sent to the hard-left American Bar Association, which has been using its money to keep illegal immigrants in America.
Congresspeople have a vested interest in keeping USAID functioning because they are getting hundreds of millions in taxpayer money for their pet projects without having to go through the budget process.
Can’t Mend It; End It
Widburg stresses, too, that she discovered all the above after just an hour’s research. And now you know why the Left and so many Establishment pols are squealing. They and their agenda have been feeding at the trough — a trough provided through Americans’ blood and sweat, toil and tears. They’re now gaslighting over USAID’s elimination, too. Just consider the following tweet from hard-left Senator Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.):
“Feeds” children? Yeah, feeds them soul-searing lies and vice, maybe.
Think about this, however, the next time you hear that there isn’t enough money for ______ (e.g., aid for veterans). Think about it the next time immigrationists claim we don’t have money for a border wall. Because, apparently, there’s plenty of money available to push back the borders of sanity.
Oh, and there’s an irony here. USAID was created by President John Kennedy in 1961 via executive order to help Third World nations avoid communist subversion. But given that so much USAID money is devoted to advancing sexual devolutionary (“LGBTQ+”) causes, note the following.
According to late FBI agent and Professor W. Cleon Skousen, Cold War-era communists had 45 specific goals in mind when practicing subversion. One was, “Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as ‘normal, natural, healthy.’”
Yeah, the Soviet communist swamp has become the American swamp — and it has got to go. And USAID is the right place to start.
